So I sent out another round of e mails yesterday:

Good Afternoon Senator Tochtrop,
You may not recall but you and I had a nice chat about 3 weeks ago regarding the current slew of firearm related legislation's introduced by your party.
Being a small business owner in a firearms based business (Gunsmith) I have been watching these legislative proposals quite closely. I have attended a total of 24 hours of hearings and testimonies and I must say I am quite appalled at the statements and conduct of some of your co-harts. It seems that the majority of your co-harts are not using any logic nor are they considering their constituents in discussion of these proposals.
Which brings us to you Lois, I wanted to sincerely thank you for exhibiting a sound thought process and some common sense when considering these pending legislation's.
Please continue to use your good judgment and vote against 1224 as it will not do a darned thing to deter an individual with intent to do harm to others, and may infact cause more harm than good.
Your vote counts Lois and I hope a bit of your wisdom and common sense can be conveyed to your co-harts.
We seriously need more elected officials that take a factual and objective look at things the way you do.
Thank You again

And get this reply this morning:

I am opposed to HB 1224 and will be a NO vote on the senate floor today.
Lois

Senator Tochtrop

Not the laser beam to kill all the bills but at least a ray of sunshine.
Representative Salazar is in the same district, you know the same guy who has such sage advice on rape prevention. I wonder if she has lit into him at all?

No. I believe her and Sen Jahn were the two (possible) no votes. We need one more.

If hope lets me down again on 1224, I may take it out back behind the chemical shed and shoot it. My optimism has its limits.

I emailed everyone (dems) last Thursday in a last ditch attempt to sway someone on the fence but have received no responses from anyone. I wrote them all individually not a copied form letter. This is about ten emails, two postcards and three voicemails for each of them from me since they passed the house so maybe they blocked my email. [BooHoo]

I'm fairly certain both of my email addresses have been blocked. I used to get replies but not anymore.

1229 was passed, wasn't even close. 19/13 or something close to that. I know the dems had 19

I haven't received a reply in more than a week. My guess is they are simply overwhelmed, yet they fail to acknowledge what that means, and vote for this shit anyways. The lunatics have indeed taken over the asylum.

Try their facebook.. not the fan page..but their personal facebook. So far, i got few responses few hours after I hit their personal inbox. Some of them looked like being replied mobile or by cell phone.
