View Full Version : Veto Referendum
If I'm not mistaken Colorado has the Veto Referendum available for voters to over turn any legislation that is passed by the General Assembly.. Who's going to get this moving?
I'll have to look it up, perhaps I should delete my post about civil disobedience?
EDIT: Found this as a result. Hope this is the right one: http://www.sos.state.co.us/pubs/info_center/laws/Article40-2011.pdf

First thing to check is whether or not the bills were written as a "public safety" issue. If so, and nearly ALL bills at the state level are written this way - then there is NO option to reverse it with a veto referendum. This is one of the ways the legislators have created for circumventing the will of the people.

can a non lib gov by executive order tell sheriff's and cbi to not enforce the 5? I know back in the days that owen was in office he fucked with BGC's...
The show of Sheriff's last Monday was unanimous against these bills as un-enforceable and wrong. They can not be told to not enforce a law but ..... It is up to them on a daily basis to determine the best interests of those they serve. Just saying.
