View Full Version : Magazines with and without date stamps or other identifying features
So with the impending passage of 1224 I think a discussion of which magazines have date stamps and which ones don't would be good for researching the effects of this law. Could we compile a list of magazines for various models of guns that are confirmed to not have date stamps? Or is there a list already available somewhere? Would it be better to list magazines that do have date stamps rather than ones that dont? This would inform the community which magazines we should stay away from to make enforcement of this law easier..

Well Pmags are all dated so stock up I guess [Mad]
Keep this thread on topic please. List only whether a mag is or is not dated. No comments. No discussion. Mags with or without date stamps / serial numbers ONLY!
I don't want to delete any more posts.

None of the factory Fal mags steel or aluminum have a date. Some may have a stock #.
None of my factory PPS41 or PPS43 mags have a date.
No datecodes I can find on any of my C-Products mags.

Not AR, but I have found NO datecodes on my MecGar p226 9mm 18rd and 20rd mags.
E-Landers of course, do, and rather clearly. (Wonder if they'd be willing to change that.)
My Center and D&H USGI mags both have date codes

I got some HK416 mags and they don't appear to have a date. They do however say "law enforcement/military use 10-94". Which I guess you could argue means they were made during the 94 AWB. Except I don't think HK was making AR mags back then. I could be wrong though.
Ruger sr9 magazines have no serial number or date stamp.

...and if you just so happen to accidentally snag the date stamp on your pmag with a hot iron while stippling it..........
what a shame that would be.
But to add some usefulness..
No Date stamps on Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm Handgun mags
No Date Stamps on Glock mags either.
