Police intervened when more than a hundred people joined in a candlelit vigil in the East Flatbush neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York, where 16-year-old Kimani Gray was shot 11 times by police on Saturday.
Brooklynites on Twitter reported that police followed the march and searched apartment buildings in the neighborhood without warrants, looking for children who had been seen throwing bottles at police from neighborhood rooftops.
March participants chanted "NYPD KKK how many kids will you kill today," people report from the scene.
Besides RT.com (I know I know), only found this story on a few other "infowars" type websites. NOTHING on cnn, msnbc, google-news (melting pot of MSM). Big surprise. Article says the kid pointed a revolver at the cops who then shot him, but Witnesses say Gray, who was running for his life when he was shot, did not have a gun. "Stay down, or we’ll shoot you again,” police said once Gray had been hit, according to The New York Times.
Pre-post Update: Found the NYTimes article after having to search their website http://www.nytimes.com/2013/03/11/nyregion/16-year-old-killed-by-new-york-police.html?_r=0

I hate to sound insensitive but these people that are protesting are the same people that vote these idiots into office then end up creating a police state.
Maybe next time they will think before they vote

its okay, everyone has a moment where they think there is a glimmer of hope. Then reality kicks them square in the nuts.
Maybe next time they will think before they vote
You're assuming that someone else isn't casting their votes for them.

That is called probable cause, and supercedes a warrant.

so if i live in an apartment building with 50 other familys and someones moron kid throws a bottle off the roof i lose my rights?

So if someone hits you with a bottle from a rooftop, would you prefer the cops tell you tough shit?
Hell no! I expect them to kick in every door on the whole damn building...maybe find some ar-15s and some clips while their in there.

haha in NY they would!! You'd probably get hung up on or no squad car would ever show up, "Look pal, if you want to file a report, come down to the station"

Just don't fucking care. Mostly, I would like to see it implode so we can simply remove it from modern maps.
flatbush is in full lockdown right now 2 cars 4 cops per corner 3 helocopters up and buzzing around bunch of high ranking white shirts setting up a command center.....ill update if i hear anything else
I am not an attorney, but felt the need to correct one of the posts above:
Probable Cause is required to obtain a search warrant.
Exigent Circumstances are the facts which permit LE to skip obtaining a warrant before searching for evidence. Probable Cause would still be required. The only difference being the time between getting a search warrant from a magistrate and searching for evidence.
Probable Cause is always required for an arrest, however Reasonable Suspicion is all that is required to stop and investigate.
There are different types of searches and not all searches require a warrant or Probable Cause. The best example being a search at a border crossing. There are limited types of searches, normally called a "pat down" or "frisk" that can be conducted based on articulable facts such as; suspicious activity, late at night, in a high crime neighborhood, etc...
All actions of LE are subject to review by supervisors, prosecutors, magistrates, and ultimately the citizens who grant them their authority.
Riots happen from time to time. The people of NYC are paying for approximately 35,000 sworn police officers. When I worked in NYC, the vast majority of NYPD officers were hard working and did their jobs professionally. Every profession has bad apples...even in the Big Apple [Flower]
I pray that no one is injured.
Be safe.
certain blocks are under marshal law and declared media freeze zones this is very much still ongoing

WTF! I don't like the some people vote, I don't like Ghettos, I don't like the peoples(Elites) that make the Ghettos, but I really don't like when people bitch and complain about there 2nd Amendment rights getting trampled and then say that some others, who's rights are being trampled "Hey, you deserve that". That is such bullshit. How about all of the Denver Metro Area, Springs. Just about every one the Reps from those areas is a Lib. But we up here in the North aren't saying "Screw them city folks they get what they deserve, they voted them in. Let them take there guns." Tyranny is Tyranny. Locking down a neighborhood because a kid is shot and then trying to stop a lawful gathering of citizens, thus inciting a non- peaceable assembly and then going further and violating peoples 4th amendment right is bullshit. I don't care if it's here, in New York or California. As we have found out if it happens there eventually the crap will be on our doorstep. Sorry for the tirade it pisses me off.[Mad]

'Media Free zones'
as much as that idea tickles my irony-humor. when the media isn't glaring at you, you can get away with murder.

Well, many parts of our country *should* be under martial law, but the city/cops have no motivation/need/desire to pacify those utterly violent and lawless areas. The fact that there are no-go areas for police in our country should be a F'ing blight on the record of any leading leader, yet ... nothing. (btw those leaders of these areas are just about all Dems)

It cracks me up when people whine about how awful the DPD is. I've lived in New York. The NYPD make the LAPD look like Boy Scouts. Sure, "Every department has a few bad apples," but in NYC it seems like entire precincts are dirty and "good cops" are in the minority.
Media free zone huh? Smells like liberty...

Which precincts did you deal with?
I've only had limited contact with LAPD. They were very polite while "subduing" their perps. NYPD has a different definition for polite. The end result was often the same.

Once again i take issue with ANOTHER thing you said. However. Why digress, you have your opinion, I have mine.

Im sure he was turning his life around, just before he was shot anyway. Those popo officers should have to attend the white guilt or white pride(oops, better not say that one) white privialge, yea thats it,conference in the Springs.I guess all the Denver channels didnt hear about this, too busy doing an artical on the benefits of having gay politicians ruling things.
