So according to the bill, both the 10 round Barrett Mk82 and the Ruger 10/22 (with folding stock) are assault weapons.

Interesting article. Glad we have some common sense lawmakers in Congress. Sorry for the snarky comment, but still no charges being brought on Mark Kelly?

If I ever caught pulled over for a "high-capacity" magazine, could I tell the police that I was bringing it to them?

Someone explain how "retired law enforcement" are OK to buy/sell/transfer these evil things, and "citizens" are not? Oh, right no logic there at all.

Good thing law enforcement can have them and peasants cant. Never have cops go nuts with firearms and attempt a large scale assasination plot..... oh, right... Im all for keeping our men/women in blue safe, and equally armed against threats, but one side armed and the other not is just a bad idea. Hmm, Mexico? Germany in the 30s? How many times is this going to happen?
