New pope chosen.

Argentine Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio
I heard the smoke changed color, but they haven't announced it yet. I'm still optimistically hoping/sending up prayers that it turn out to be Ted Nugent.
I still like Seth Rogan's tweet: "There's also white smoke coming out of my office, but nobody seems that excited about it. #pope[/FONT]" haha

Somehow I doubt Uncle Ted could survive the whole "vow of celibacy" thing.

Isn't he number 112? Those who like conspiracy theories should look up the Prophecy of the Popes.

Aw shit... here we go again. I already believe we're living very close to the End Times, which are much "nigher" than I would prefer. ;-) But these doomsday prophecies are wearing me out...

That problem seems prevalent....

Haha I stumbled across that when looking for the new guys name. Thought some people here might like it.
It's just that my poor lil perma-fried brain only has so much room for the myriad conspiracy theories I already subscribe to. I'd have to clear out some space before I started signing up with the doomsday-of-the-month stuff. :-) Lol.
Looks like
Argentine Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio

Seems to me if they would stop picking guys who are a hundred years old, they wouldn't have to do this so often.
The last pope change was 2005 and before that 1978
All I can think about is Sergeant Hulka saying "lighten up Francis..."

The last pope change was 2005 and before that 1978Yes, but there were three different popes in 1978. Pope John Paul I reigned for 33 days. Hell, I've had clothes at the cleaners longer than that.
In honor of the new pope, I have a question:
If the Pope goes to the bathroom, does that make it a holy shit? [ROFL1]

That was my first thought, too. My second thought was "how many people in Buenos Aires will get laid tonight celebrating the election of an Argentinine Pope?"

The first Jesuit pope. Jesuits used to be bad-ass Mo-fos back in the day, the direct action operators of the Catholic Church. Now they teach at colleges. Sounds like another conversative like JPII and Benedict to keep those goofy leftist nuns and rouge priests in line.

Doubt it I will wager his stance on sanctuary cities and amnesty in America.
