So, I had a follow up workers comp appointment today. I don't even recall how the subject of guns came up but it did. The doc said he carried at work all the time and most of the staff did, too. He said the office was very pro-gun and there would never be a problem with me carrying in there.

With all the bad press doctors get with regards to guns I thought this was a real breath of fresh air.

I don't feel comfortable identifying the doctor or the clinic but I will say it's an office in the mountain community near where I live.

Damn, Carl, that's awesome! I wish I could say the same for mine, but it's the VA, they have a strict NO WEAPONS policy on their property.

Who's the doc? I'd be willing to commute a fair distance to support him.

Do yourself a favor...NEVER discuss guns with the VA.

Down at the VA in Albuquerque, there are signs all over the place including many in the parking lots indicating absolutely NO WEAPONS of any type allowed on the property. I did ask one of their Fed cops about knives since they are also banned on the property. Was advised a 3-inch blade is still acceptable but I would not want to push that issue. The VA had better not ban canes and crutches or there would be a ton of those deposited at the front gate of the property......

Which does not apply to the armed guards.
