View Full Version : If only aloud one assault weapon....
Thought this would be fun, so if you could only have one assault weapon what would it be. Let's try to keep it real, meaning most of us can't get M-60's,saws, full auto, ect. For me it would be a RRA mid-length A-4.

I am happy with the one I have. DPMS 16" M4gery. About 1k flawless rounds through it so far and it runs like butta. Still a couple of upgrades I will do eventually.
ACE Skeleton Short stock
M4 profile barrel
chrome bolt
A2 BUIS to replace my flip up.
Other than those things, which would be nice but not needed, I will stick to what I have.

I'd prolly take an AK-47, but my Bushy has never failed me yet. It's a toss as I have about equal mags and ammo for both.
"assault rifle" as in:
"select fire weapon firing a mid sized cartridge"
or
"any thing resembling a rifle that looks scary to me, because I'm a clueless libtard"
and with one of those barrel things that goes up!

An M1903A1 was, at one point, an assault rifle. Ask anyone in France from 1914-1918.

Although not truly "Assault Weapons" I love my AR, but would have to stick by the AK because I might not have time to keep it clean.
I don't own any "assault weapons". I do have a couple of rifles that only look like assault weapons.

My M16 of course over 10K rounds and it has never let me down. Ok it has let me down with the .22 upper but with the .223 upper it runs like a sewing machine.:D

My favorite assault weapon is the one I commit an assault with. Might be a rock, or a brick, or a poker, or a baseball bat, or a firearm. Right now I'm kinda in a fireplace poker kind of mood.

I would choose my Yugo M70AB2 under-folder:

Otherwise, once my AR-15 project is finished, I would probably choose it. 20'' RRA HBAR, RRA UTE2 upper, IOR 3x25 scope, and soon to come a cryo'd upper and a piston upgrade. Until then, you can't go wrong with a quality, customized Kalashnikov.
This is just for fun. Small and scary guns w/select fire.
Man, I want a M-16, will 10g's get me one. [Awesom]
I'd have a full auto .50 cal BMG mounted in the back of my truck...
good thing this day will never come!

glad to see somebody else rocking a spikes receiver! Did you buy that as a FA or build it that way?! how do I go about building on FA? Im pretty well versed on buying the stuff, but wanna know how to build one! Would be nice to be able to push the selector to the "spraying lead" picture that my receiver came with lol
my dragunov
Long range, Accurate as hell and has enough punch to take down anything. AP ammo is easy to get for it as well which makes it an ideal candidate for all round applications.
If the drag doesnt count AK-47 hands down....
LWRC M6A2 DMR
6.8 SPC
14.5" Barrel

SureFire goodies and Can

Yeah, and I can't buy another one till next month. It's for the children, man.
Wife prefers a long range mele weapon.

Any of the 308 "AR" Carbines will do. Aramalite would be nice. Or a Springfield SOCCOM 2 but only if I was shot in the ass with diamonds.
If Super poor,(I am) a mini 14 ranch all weather or a Rock River hbar A-4 would be a great platform.
Your idea of the .50 is nice, but I would have a G.E. 7.62 multi bbl mini gun slaved to a flir from a F-16 Radar (kinda like what the navy has for anti missle close in support) Only I could train it myself on land/air targets.

Plus the ammo is cheap and readily available
Colt SAA, or an MP5.
Of course I'd still have my AR, but that's just a little plinker for tin cans and the like.
