I need some help guys. Well actually my father does. He needs to move his gun safe from the basement of his house to the garage and one safe company said it would be $2800 to move it, cause it can't go out the inside stairs it has to go out a window and then.some concrete stairs. I already called Colorado safe outlet and I don't think they'll be able to do it fast enough and I left a message with hamlen and waiting to hear back from them. Is there any other safe movers you guys know of? Thanks for the help.

there are a bunch of threads about this. But, we need to know weight and dimensions of the safe. We know some movers who move any size safe and some can be moved much cheaper and easier.

also does your Dad live in Lupe too? or where is the safe?

here is who I used.

Call a regular moving company. I always kept calling "safe mover" people when I needed mine moved...They always wanted $250+ just to move it. The moving company I used (Billy Goat Movers) wanted $275 to move all of my big furniture INCLUDING the safe. The safe was just another piece of furniture for them. They didn't charge any extra fee.

that isnt that big of a safe. dont get taken. it shouldnt cost too much. I only paid $300 something to move mine. out one house and into the other, down the stairs and across the basement.

I just helped a friend move a 900lb safe. Wooden dowels to roll it on flat surfaces and a rental walking dolly. He moved it up the stairs by himself with the dolly.
