By the looks of the numbers, we should be "victorious" by a wide margin when they close the poll. (I'll take any kind of victory right now - feels good.) I doubt any of our television news channels will run the story but we should send this poll to all the local news websites in their "tips" page where they get story suggestions from the viewers. Maybe we could get lucky, if enough of us send it, that one of them might run it. [Dance]

Saw this poll go up by 100 votes in our favor, to nearly 81%, in the last 15 minutes. In that same time the 'uphold 1224s' advanced by ... 3.

It'd be interesting if this passed. The gun grabbers' overreach could put this into the colorado constitution, and end up making this one of the most gun friendly states in the long run.

I still think the amendment is a long shot, but the public support sure appears to be there.

I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist but I've gone on several times this evening and the gap gets getting closer. Every time I'm on I hit "refresh" on my browser and the "against" goes up by about 20 votes while the "for" goes up maybe 1 or 2, and the poll isn't even on the front page anymore. Just seems a little odd to me.

Do we not have any PHP programmers on the board? Their scrip is still running 2 - 4 votes per second.

I know it's a non scientific poll and doesn't really mean anything but many people will actually thing the results are accurate.

They are now just a little over a thousand away. They'll be caught up just after midnight... and if they leave the script running all night... they'll have a several thousand vote lead by the time morning rolls around. I'm not sure what they feel they are accomplishing by doing this... but they are either REALLY motivated or REALLY bored!

They do know that the votes in the poll won't be indicative to the votes for the ballot measure... don't they?

not only that but the results are so high its obviously rigged. How does the poll go from 80/20 to 50/50 that fast with 40,000 votes when the next largest poll has maybe 5,000 votes?

One can only hope that the DP sees how blatantly obvious the hack has been, has been logging the IP and throws out the 18,000 votes from the same IP address! hehe. Wishful thinking, I'm sure. If they only increment the poll total for the vote based on the option chosen and don't actually store each vote in a database (along with IP)... then we would be SOL anyways.

However... we had thousands of votes coming in from out of staters, I'm sure, based on the ad I saw in Armslist as well as the call to action for votes in various national gun forums. hehe
