View Full Version : effective date of HB 1229
Seems like this is heading to hickenloopers office tomorrow. for any of us that might have deals set up, this might be decent info:
I just read through the bill and it looks like this goes into effect July 1, 2013 just like HB1224.
If anyone sees an amendment or anything that looks like this would be a different date, please post it up.

Tag for updates and...
Curious as to how this will affect the rules with the TP here. Not that it will happen here but I have noticed the big scare banner on Colorado gun market page threatening they will have to close down if this bill goes into effect.

That's part of the problem of having 8 stickies... you start ignoring them .

Definitely a truth to that! Get so used to them being there they easily get overlooked when used to immediately scanning to the latest thread/post. I like that feature for dorks like me when you have to click on the acknowledge before proceeding any further!
[facepalm]
Now back on topic sorry Sniper7!
I was told it goes into effect immediately, the morning after he signs it. Is that incorrect?

Yes it is incorrect. UNLESS HE does it as a safety issue and institutes it immediately. If not then 7/1. Some of you need to brush up on how .gov works. Then again facts are not taught in the school system anymore.
Right. They need to let the rest of the populace who hasn't panic-stocked everything already (like I have. grin) feel like they have a chance to "get in on a good thing" and not ruffle their feathers too much. It's Machiavellian in it's insight into human nature... if enough people feel well supplied, it won't be as big an issue to them. And the rest of us who may be well stocked, but are still rabidly outraged... well, we're the minority unfortunately.
I can't believe this is happening, this is a bad dream right? I can't enjoy the Free Colorado for many time :-(
