View Full Version : student suspended for (finger) gun at school)
I received this from a friend - it's for the son of a friend of his. Note, my friend is a total Fudd (and a Democrat) - supportive of assault weapon bans, mag size limits, etc. But we are tired of fighting with each other so we are seeking common ground. He sent me this today.

I was thinking the exact same thing.
My kid knows the difference between a real gun and a nerf gun... and he's 2 1/2.. When will these dumb asses figure it out?
We are expecting our first child soon and he will definitely know about guns so I guess I am going to be in toruble as well. This is absolutely ridiculous.
Reason #1,159 to homeschool. [facepalm]

Agenda 21. Learn about it. Then decide what you'll do about your child's "education"...

I really worry that there are people in charge of children all day long that do NOT know the difference between a real gun and a finger, pop tart, drawing of a building, etc.
These incidents are getting out of hand. [facepalm]

Common ground or not I would've told him to FOAD. Why should I be concerned about his kid getting suspended for idiotic liberal "zero tolerance" policies? People like him are responsible for placing the idiots in charge who come up with this nonsense. Fuck him.

So you're not only a real jerk, but you're not a careful reader. This wasn't my friend's son - it was the son of a friend of his. Not really the point though.
Alienating people that we need is unhelpful. Some Democrats - not all Democrats, but some - can be swayed by their constituents... especially the ones that actually voted for them. Furthermore, I don't have enough friend to tell some of them to fuck off and die because our political views differ.

So if you give a cute girl the "gun & wink" does that constitute a violent rape?

Whatever. So I misread your original post. Your friend the FUDD is still part of the problem and not part of the solution. And I'm not sure how someone who wants to jeopardize my freedoms and liberties could be called a "friend", but if it works for you, fine. Frankly, the whole "appease and persuade" strategy hasn't gotten us very for with "them". Maybe it's time we started to alienate them and call them what they really are...enemies.

And once again Carl's infinite wisdom thus proves again that in a fight for your life if you're not fighting dirty you're losing. Well put brother! The time for being "nice" ended back in Nov...
I guess my question is this: if they are "enemies", what are you going to do with them? Kill them? Kind of goes against the whole right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And if you're going to turn yourself into judge, jury, and executioner over someone's voting record, what's to stop someone else form doing that to you?
What do you guys think is going to turn the tide? We hate these representatives that have been elected into office, and want them out. How do you propose to do that? Shoot all the people that voted for them? I'm leaning more towards educating them.
It's all fine and dandy to call them "enemies", but it doesn't get you any closer to your goal. And furthermore, if you refuse to have friends whose political beliefs differ from yours, I feel sorry for you.

When we moved to Aurora CO in 1999 we took our daughter to the middle school that she would attend to register her and a boy walked into the office and asked for information on hunter safety classes. The lady behind the counter pointed him to the large bulletin board and there was a pop display box with brochures for NRA approved hunter safety classes. I thought that is so nice, you won't see that in CA schools anymore. Here we are 15 years later and we are making criminals out of grade school kids.

Seriously? You got from "enemies" to "murder" in one post? Amazing. And why in the world would I want to hang out with people who see things opposite from me politically? What purpose is it going to serve except to constantly piss me off? I know plenty of liberals and I don't like any of them or their values or world view. I sure as hell don't want to be all buddy-buddy with 'em. If you do, fine. Knock yourself out.

I bet his school is so much safer now that they punished this kid for his finger gun.
that will teach him! wonder what they do for just pointing a finger?
I need to become a lawyer. Teach my son to tell me anything the school does against their own policies. If a teacher points at him it could be con-strewed as pointing a gun at him.
