I have a friend planning to sell his M&P 15/22 to a coworker, but he has no idea what the value is - neither do I. So, I'm turning to you to help him.

I'm waiting for him to respond with his approximate round round, but to be honest, if it has 500 rounds through I'd be very surprised. While I haven't seen the gun, he typically takes great care of his stuff so I imagine it's in excellent condition. Additionally, I don't know how many mags he has for it.

Based off of the information above (which is admittedly vague), what would you estimate the resell value to be?

I paid $390 for mine, maybe 500 now. The number of Mags, and any ammo would help out.

I am guessing about $500. New ones in Walmart were like $569. Prices were around $500(avg) on gunbroker dot com. But then again I saw two mags for one that were priced at $175. Google the firearm for local sales?

Depends on how any mags/accessories he has. My buddy sold his a month ago for $550 and it sold in less than 6 hours. I told him he was low. I would say $700 + and it will sell. Call me a price gouged if you must, but what the market will bear.
