Not many outside a group such as ours can appreciate this. This week I was really able to take some time at my reloading station assembling some .223 rounds. There was such a feeling of peace and passion for what I was doing. It had nothing to do with 'guns', had nothing to do with the number or rounds I produced, had nothing to do with the current environment. It was the pure satisfaction that I get, like so many of you do, with doing something that I enjoy so much. There can be such a misperception of gun owners, gun enthusiasts and gun rights activists. Maybe not all that are out there can truly understand what I am trying to covey as there are so many different reasons why people are drawn to firearms and forums such as this. Some are here just to to buy and sell, some to be part of a community, others maybe just leveraging the site for reference and education, and many to fight for a common cause. Regardless of the reason I speak to those who have that true fulfillment and appreciation for what it means to each individual as a person.

That's what we call moving meditation, like working on cars as a pastime.

I really hope to get into reloading someday, which requires space and money

Knitting. Crochet. Painting... reloading is my hobby.

It's the same reason I will wipe down my rifles when they probably don't need it, but it is so very relaxing. There is something relaxing about the smell of CLP.
