I am about to put up for sale, a set of ATV tire chains. I used these only one time about three ATV's ago and have no idea what tire size they fit. Measured them and found to be 48-inches in length and 16-inches wide when the horizontal chains are fully stretched out. Got these from Cabelas and it'd do me no good to try to get an answer from them. Now, I'm just trying to determine what ATV tire sizes these chains will fit. Any serious help will really be appreciated. Thanks!![Beer]

Almost all utility ATVs are 25x8x12 up front and 25x10x12 in the back stock. You have a pretty good chance that is what they fit. Other than that everything is custom and typically bigger.

Thanks sniper and I presume by your mentioning "UTILITY' ATV'S you still mean regular old single operator ATV's - not the newer mule type double occupancy on the front seat type???. I'll wait for another response or two and then hopefully make up a sign or post an ad. These chains were mounted only once and drove about an 8th of a mile in the snow and didn't need them for any further snow removal. We shall see!

Sniper got it right. Most brands have 3 sizes, and most 4WD ATVs use the mediums on the front and larges on the rear. UTVs (Rhino, Razr, etc) have their own applications due to the larger wheels/tires.

Glad you got it! Even a lot of stock rims on the newer fancy machines are still that size. The upgraded fancy ones or ones with after, aren't wheels are typically 27-28 inch tires and 10 wide in front and 12 wide in the back. I still wonder why people put such high dollar rims on machines made to go get scratched and scuffed up!
