Do parts kit affect accuracy and comatability?

I was curious to know particularly if the firing control group and gas tube matter when building an AK-47 from a pre-cut receiver. For example, would I be able to take Romanian and Egyptian parts and interchange them? Or is it better to have your parts be from the same country even if the numbers don't match with the parts? I'm disregarding furniture and mainly focusing on the bare bones working parts. This would be for a fixed stock rifle probably built off a Nodak receiver. I was trying to Google this and didn't find any solid leads. Thanks in advance.

Mix n match. i like same country parts kit however like an AR gas tube X works in Y providing you're working with same style. A Yugo tube is different length, same for an AMD, Draco.

The great thing about the AK platform is almost all the parts are interchangeable and will function reliably.
Yes theres a few differences between stamped and milled ,mostly the barrel parts and some of the internals.Theres also diferences umungst the stamped kits as well.The Yugos Chineese and Albanian.
They use a thicker reciever and mostly their own proprietary gas tube and furniture.

But most other com bloc stamped kit will interchange with each other with some slight fitting.As far as internals almost all of them are interchangable except for the milled,and thats only the sear trip if I remember correctly and in a semi build it dosen't get used..

Yup, I forgot to mention the AMD,Draco and also the Krinks-due to shorter BCG they use a shorter gastube,might be able to swap them umungst themselves,I never tried :)

there are basically 4 patterns (basically) some just use a mix of the patterns.. there's ak47 (type 3), akm, ak74/ak74m/100 series, and rpk the mix is for example how yugo's have an rpk receiver yet type 3 sized barrel components. also there are wild cards like with mostly the same parts as their "pattern" yet different length gas systems and appropriate parts like the amd-65 and aim-r/draco being akm pattern yet having shorter gas systems or like the aks-74u being an ak74 pattern yet having unique barrel parts and top cover ad a shorter gas system. basically if things are the same pattern they will interchange, the variance you have between parts would be the same from either country for the most part.

Good to know, do the internals affect accuracy in any way? I'm aware the barrel is important as far as accuracy goes.

Internals do not matter, It's ammo quality, bbl, head space and quality of trigger. Optics play a part but it comes down to how much you want to invest for a loose tolerance rifle. Unless you roll your own ammo you will never get bench rest accuracy.

I just remembered something else, would internal parts from a stamped rifle affect function in a milled receiver and vice-versa? What about taking the internals from a folding stock to place into a receiver build for a fixed stock? (Obviously the fixed stock furniture would be bought separately.)

Internals do not matter, It's ammo quality, bbl, head space and quality of trigger. Optics play a part but it comes down to how much you want to invest for a loose tolerance rifle. Unless you roll your own ammo you will never get bench rest accuracy.

it's only a loose tollerance rifle if you build it that way. if you pay attention to headspace, use a quality us barrel (let alone a custom) use a quality aftermarket 2 stage trigger, handload, and have a rock solid optic mount then 1" or less groups are obtainable a guy i know over on gunco.net built an ak like this that shoots dime sized groups at 100 yards while still being perfectly reliable. on an ak it's all about the barrel, trigger, ammo and optic mountin layout the rest doesnt really matter as long as they work

internals are interchangeable between milled and stamped (double hook trigger needs mods or mods to the receiver to work in a stamped receiver) barrel components aren't interchangeable but wit some simple mods a whole barrel assemblies can be interchanged if they are both 23mm press and pin barrels
