My sister-in-law just found out that her ex-boyfriend who repeatedly beat the hell out of her then stalked her for over a year finally got arrested for something serious and is currently in Arkansas Valley prison near Pueblo with his first parole hearing not until 2018. Guy is a total piece of shit and deserves to be tormented and beaten every single day of that sentence. She had been worried about this guy coming after her again and was relieved to find out he was locked up.

What she wants to know is how badly he injured his victim. From his sentence (arrested in July of 2007, out date 2030), it must have been pretty horrific. I can't find anything online, which is surprising since due to the nature of the offense it would have been reported in the news. I have his full name, DOB, arrest date, arrest number, court docket number, booking ID, and a copy of his criminal history from CBI which lists the offenses.

If anyone has any advise on finding out what this piece of shit did (aside from the charge itself, listed in the CBI background check), it would be appreciated. She would also like to know how to submit a letter to the parole board telling them what a piece of shit he is who needs to remain locked in a cage forever. Thanks.

Probably won't be able to get much for detailed information if you're not a party to the actual case that sent him up. You'll need the actual police reports from DPD. Contact them and see what they can provide.

Criminal court proceedings are public record unless specifically restricted by a judge. If you order a complete court report from Denver District Court, you should be able to get a complete transcript of the trial, including any evidence. If it was a sexual assault case, the victim's identity may be redacted.

The criminal history should have the case number. Call dpd records and get a copy . It'll cost just a few dollars.

There may not be any media coverage of the incident at all. You'd be amazed at how much violent crime this city has that is completely ignored by the news (murders, shootings, stabbings, rapes, etc). I have seen some real doozies in my day that never got a peep from the media, meanwhile there are completely mundane nothing incidents that get multi-day coverage. There are some disgusting politics involved with it, because all the media outlets automatically gets copies of every single incident report we file (hundreds a day). They report what they want, not what they should.

Thanks for the link.

That would explain why everytime I see a dozen police cars blocking traffic or hear gunshots within a half mile I never hear anything about it in the news. Too bad there isn't a decent independent news source, or even a blogger, that those incident reports could be forwarded to as well. Hell, leak the good ones to me and I'll create a website to post them on.

I doubt you'll be able to get information on his victim; they usually redact the information involving another person. As she's not a party to the case, I can't imagine the clerks at the records desk revealing any information regarding the victim at all- and with good reason. Otherwise news reporters would be digging into files and bringing up painful memeories and unpleasantness, just to they could sell their stories. They do enough of that as is. I suspect that it was unpleasant, no matter the level.

However, I would also imagine that as a prior victim of the POS, the Parole Board would likely welcome comments from someone that has had dealings with him and his behavior.

The media covers what they want to cover and definitely not all the "action" news that is out there. I've been on high profile cases where there has been a lot of media and also done cases where there was no media, but the case or the suspect would have been of interest to a true journalist.

Be a shame if the scumbag were to slip in the shower and bust his frikken neck. If your sister is up to it, she should provide testimony at his parole hearing and try to keep the dirtbag where he belongs.
