So I took a pistol class in San Antonio (where I'm working currently) this weekend and at the end of the class they made a big pitch for Texas Law Sheild (http://www.uslawshield.com/texas/)
Essentially its a program you pay a monthly or yearly few for, and if for any reason you ever have to use your gun and are arressted or sued, they will defend you free of charge.
Think it is worth the cost? Any similar programs in Colorado?

I guess the difference between the NRA program and this one is that this is not an insurance program persay, but a legal defense team regardless of how much it costs to defend you.
Here's one that I don't think is mentioned in those other threads.

Also, their advisory board has some pretty good names on it.

It's the same as insurance, but Shield does not cover you from the court of appeal and beyond. Cost wise, it's very low compare to the normal cost of liability insurance.
