Personally i prefer a lottery system that would allow We the People to have a chance of either pulling the lever, throwing the switch OR pulling the trigger. While I agree, hanging a guy like that might be letting him off too easy. Maybe a lifetime of prison raping and/or a shanking or two will be better for that guy.

Here's something to think about....back in the good ol west 100 years ago everybody had guns, ammo and TNT. Not to many cases of people doing this...I ponder this question every time one of these scum bags does something like this and say, my pappy's granddaddy would of gotten a rope and a horse...problem solved!

I completely agree - swift, expedient, CHEAP justice is the only way to go. It costs more money to kill one of these fuckers today than it does to just consign them to life. Which is still too fucking expensive. Would people get it wrong once in a while? Sure - the justice system isn't perfect. But crime would drop like a rock too.
