So, I'm sitting here watching the latest "The Ultimate Fighter," and a Navy recruiting commercial comes on. The camera shows different Navy personnel, and each one has a background narration, in different voices, that roughly follows the oath. I perked up when I heard, "I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America." THAT'S WHERE SHE STOPPED. Having heard and recited this oath many times, I believe, "...against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same;..." should have been included in this ad. [Mad]

Oh, and Aim High and stuff.

Perhaps they are on time limits per person vs. some vague conspiracy you "Think" may be lurking in the wings.

True. The blatant attacks on the Constitution are very disturbing.

No conspiracy, just a general disregard.
The commercial was scripted, not a time-limit impromptu type of thing.

There I was in Little Rock, Arkansas. I hadn't been there in 8 years, and suddenly Vince Foster shows up dead in Marcy Park...if you want conspiracy Google "Jerry Luther Parks"

A Global force for good sounds like some new world order thing.

If you noticed the words "and obey the orders of those appointed above me" are featured prominently in there as well. Diluting the message of the oath (and the principals this country was founded on) is becomong a major priority. What they mostly fail to realize is that most of those that took the oath to heart are also those of us most capable of defending it.

I fear you may be correct. Some that I work with have no understanding of the Oath except that it means they get a re-enlistment bonus, and the numbers seem to grow each year.

This too is a part of the agenda, for years they have endeavored to portray those of us who serve as "those who can do nothing else" in the media, they do this to undermine the commitment to values of service members; and as important to undermine the way those who serve are viewed by the sheeple. Its the whole up is down, down is up thing that has been relentlessly pushed by the liberal elites for decades now. They now view us as the same form of surf that sucks the welfare tit.

I had someone who i never would have guessed say this to me today. He's not gun friendly, however the topic of the soon to be CO gun laws came up.
" What's sad is, these people have no regard for The Bill of Rights" To say i was impressed would be an understatement .

Sad that the domestic threats are greater than the foreign these days.

Noticed that too... I think the beauty of the propaganda/indoctrination machine is that it's subtle, and pervasive. Think about it... those gutsy commercials for the marines made an impression on most of us when we were young. They're just preparing the next generation to be even more docile and civic-minded. Buncha badasses running dangerous missions to stirring music, with a couple of subtle omissions barely noticeable to a generation who doesn't even know the nat'l anthem? It's perfect.

Yep... to help the agenda there are larger percentages of unemployed and homeless veterans than those from the regular population... Percentages, not actual numbers. [Shake]
