Hi guys. I hope this is not a breach of etiquette. I make an account just to post this message.

Hickenlooper and his cronies need to be RECALLED IMMEDIATELY.

http://recallhickenlooper.org

Now, I hears a lot of people calling for this, but not a lot of people actually doing something. I wanted to be a soldier in this effort. I tried to find out about an existing recall effort (cheesy web petitions do not count), but found nothing. I then decided that, with no other soldiers around, I promoted myself to General.

The effort of a state-wide recall will take a LOT of coordination, so I created a web site with a forum so that people can organize themselves. I will be attending a "Recall Senator Morse" meeting on Sunday and will then find out what is involved in getting a recall started. I will file the paperwork myself if I have to. If somebody else files first, I will gladly help them.

I intend my web site to be a one-stop-shop for all recall information. My goal is for a first-time visitor to go there and get immediate information on what recalls are going on in their area, who to contact for help, and downloadable signature forms.

We need nearly 1/2 million signature for the Hickenlooper recall. BUT -- if we work together we can do it.

How you can help

I need local information about recalls in your area. Please go to my forum and post ANYTHING that you know about local recall efforts. There is a separate forum for each geographical region. I also need you to just sign up on the forum, and post a "hello" message for your region so that people know they they are not alone in this fight. I also need you to spread the word. For us to do this we will need a LOT of boots on the ground -- door-to-door, collecting signatures in front of stores, etc.

Remember: You can bitch and moan all you want to about the new laws -- that will accomplish exactly nothing. OR -- you can actually take action, and have a sense of pride in yourself and your state when Hickenlooper is run out of town.

PLEASE. This fight need YOU.

Don't we have a chance to vote him out next year?

perhaps before posting you might have read through a few forums that already discuss this subject.

Don't we have a chance to vote him out next year?My guess is that he will soon be getting a cushy cabinet position as a reward for his hard work (read: total abandonment of the constitution and his constituents). This will also serve as a platform for his leap into the national forray, maybe as a VP candidate.

So no, we won't get that chance.

Voting him out is NOT an option to me. I want him recalled. That will be a black mark on his record. I want to make it as hard for this clown to get elected again as possible. I want him to have the humiliation of a recall.

Not a resident of Colorado, a pureblood Texan, born and bred. However, I support any recall effort y'all can come up with. There is an old mission right up the road where 186 men died for what they believed in. Called freedom. Go get them..

Someone correct me here: If faced with a recall, he and the other scum, will have to spend money. That money will cut into their bottom line for the next election, right?

One way or the other we the taxpayers foot the bill.

To recall the governor, someone would have to get the paper petitions approved via the Sec of State, then get 491,000 valid signatures within 60 days... Which means 700k+ actual signatures.

The experts I've talked to (petition gatherers) say that's not even possible. If it were, it would cost millions.

IF that were accomplished, it would force a recall election (where millions would need to be spent to beat him) on the Governor -- who faces an election in November 2014 anyway.

As of right now, we have no solid GOP candidate filed for Governor. If there is one out there waiting in the wings, he/she would have contacted me already (anyone with a snowballs chance in hell of winning has been involved in politics already and knows RMGO is looking for a candidate).

So, even IF (that's a massive if -- it's like spending money you think you're going to win in the lottery) a recall election were forced, you can't beat Hickenlooper with no one. Whoever that candidate waiting in the wings is, he hasn't raised the money needed to win (unless he's a millionaire and is self-funding). So a recall is forcing the GOP candidate into an early and premature election -- extremely inadvisable.

And after all that, then we'd still need to win the majorities in both the House and Senate to repeal these laws.

Yes, we're all mad.

But let's avoid the "Ready, FIRE, Aim" scenario.

RMGO is releasing a plan.

It does include recalls (Morse is certainly worth it, but I doubt enough signatures can be collected against Hudak, where the bar is quite high).

And when will that plan be released?

What, if anything, is RMGO doing legally or to support Independence Institute's filing?

Dudley, we've heard this rhetoric before... I think the number is a bit inflated, and honestly I grow tired of the "it's going to cost too much, let's just give up" attitude. I would go into some motivational speech like "Did Paul Revere just give up when he realized how far he had to ride? Did Washington give up after a couple of defeats against the British? Did the allies give up after the pooch was thoroughly screwed at OP Market Garden?"

What, if anything, is RMGO doing legally or to support Independence Institute's filing?
I've been wondering this since I heard about the filing....

So....have we heard anything about this filing since?

Not yet, Dudley is busy bashing the NRA right now... I seriously do not think I'll be renewing my RMGO membership.

I know. That is old and tiresome. I agree with the thread in GD that we need to be unified.

Any word of out Caldera or i2i? I haven't seen a peep, but was out of town for a week.
