BREATHER

Went to the gunshow in Douglas County yesterday, braved the blizzard.lol..... Bought some feed for my protection but not enough to please me. The guys I usually buy from were sorely low on feed I really wanted. What I did notice, the guys that had good stuff were gouging prices. I saw mags that I just paid 12.95 from our Colorado friend were going for 40.00 and up and the feed for them was going for about 1.25 to 2.00 per. Just an observation and am compiling a list of people I ill support after this nonsense goes away.

On another note, there is talk about making feed so high no one will aford it... I do mean legal, hard working, tax paying common American citizens won't be able to afford it. Again the meth using, crack head pieces of shit will just steal what they need for their GUNS that the guberment will not find. I truly beleive the guberment is supporting these peices of shit to pull bullshit and the taxpaying law abiding Amercain citizens....

Well, I certainly hope that the "gougers" will get theirs when the time comes.

You went to a gun show and were surprised they were asking what you feel to be high prices?

Like talking to a fuckin' wall. Or a whiny-assed liberal. Same, same...

I have cash in hand for any of you people bitching and moaning about "price gouging" that want to sell me your Colt M4 rifles for $1075, your .308 ammo for .40 cents a round, your 5.56 ammo for .28 cents a round. Step right up and put your money where your mouth is. I'll be more than happy to make you feel morally superior for not charging more than what your guns/ammo are "worth". That's what I bought those items for last summer...8 months ago. Don't want you to feel bad for overcharging or anything. Really. I'm doing you a favor.

Apparently the "gougers" already have theirs. That's why they can sell it for what people are willing to pay.

For the record, who are you calling a whiney ass liberal,???? The stuff I need to buy is stll at "my" pricethat I am willing to pay. Magpul gave deals to Coloradoans, then guys at the show were charging 3-4 times what magpul was selling them for...I just didn't buy any... and won't in the future, my right as a consumer.

That is the great thing about supply and demand... the ball is ultimately in the consumer's court. You the consumer have ALL the choice. You can choose to pay higher than normal prices. You can choose not to give those (whom you think are gouging) a single dime. I pay attention to those who are raising their prices astronomically. I take note of the ones who aren't. When the dust settles... the ball will still be in MY court. I get to decide if I think a company has earned my business. I'll gravitate towards and reward those who didn't raise their prices as high. If the consumer didn't pay those high prices... those companies would have to lower their prices. But as long as there are those willing to pay those high(er) prices... there will be companies who will gladly take their money.

Blaming firearms retailers for high prices right now is like blaming pro-gun democrats for the outcome of the election. If you want to point the finger at someone... maybe you should point the finger at those who are actually responsible (those who continue to pay the higher prices).

Is harder to find, but there are good deals out there if you're willing to look. Picked up a half case of Ranger SXT +p for my .45 a few weeks ago at .50 a round.

While i am not surprised at some of the "selling" prices, i am surprised how fast said items sell. I have things that will eventually be up for sale when i do i will post at prices that reflect the Current Market Value.
Once again i see "issue" with prices yet see some of the same people have no issue posting their items for the CMV too.
Today's prices are nothing compared to what the market will be as we get closer to July 1st. Those of use who remember 1999 and the "panic" can tell you as dec approached a USED AR15 reached the $2-3K mark easy in CA. Expect to see similar pricing when may-june rolls around here, if not more.
There is no Gouging, what you see is what the market dictates. Don't like it , don't buy it.

For the record Buds guns seems to be getting a lot of inventory back in stock and their prices are coming down. I'd imagine in a couple of months well see everything settle back down to pre panic pricing.

The most frustrating part about this whole thing is the fact that panic prices started hammering items that were not in jeopardy of being banned or restricted. I was recently looking for a Taurus 4" .357 and the only ones I could find we're listed for high end S&W prices. I was also looking for a TRP operator and the only ones I could find new we're going for $2K.

I believe people have every right to ask whatever they want for their stuff. I also believe I have every right to not pay said price and wait for the market to correct itself which is exactly what I am doing. I just hope it happens at a hurried pace or I am going to lose patience and invest my 1911 and .357 money into one of my other hobbies.

You are whining.. If you have a choice not to buy, then it wouldn't be gouging, would it. I think most of us are tired of the whining posts that pop up so often, that's it all.

While I am pretty certain it was clear who he was calling a whiney ass liberal I will go out of my way to clarify who he was refering to.

You. You are a whiney ass liberal. And let me go one step further and tell you why.

You use a word, "gouging", in a sentence that does not involve saying what a stupid made up word that is. You see, whiney ass liberals made that word up to help them feel better about dictating what someone else's property is worth. Whiney ass liberals want to set limits on the prices people set on the things they own. Just like you. If I want to sell my Magpul mags for 75 dollars and someone is willing to buy them for that price more power to me and the guy who buys it. It is NOT YOUR BUSINESS what I sell my goods for.

Let me use an example from my own shop. I had a customer ask me how much for an oil change for his car. I told him it was just under 100 bucks. He told me that he could get a full synthetic oil change at Grease Monkey for 60 bucks. I informed him that it was totally up to him and wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit. But they wouldn't be using the correct oil. Was I price gouging? No, because that is a made up word. I set my price for my goods and service at a place I was comfortable doing the job at and he was not forced to buy it if he didn't want to. He had a choice to buy from me at a higher price or from the lowest bidder.

WHO ARE YOU TO DICTATE WHAT SOMEONE SELLS THEIR PERSONAL PROPERTY FOR?

Jeezus Buffy, the word gouging has been around alot longer than your reference. AS I SAID, I just didn't buy anything but the stuff I WANTED for THE PRICE I WANTED TO PAY... good lord... And ANYONE can sell WANT they WANT for the PRICE they WANT.. DOesn't mean I am going to panic buy.... The peices that I want are still at the price I will pay for them.....I will not buy from people that are making panic profit now.....

I see now, no wonder you complaining,,, I tend to buy American as much as I can... And you??????

The idea of price gouging began as part of the anti-trust movement. That was the beginning of the progressive (read also liberal) movement. The idea was that goverment should step in and stop people from making more money than was seemly.

What a bunch of tough guy gunowners,,,, what I see on this pussy site is that if a person doesn't agree with the BIG BOYS he gets ostracised... No opinion but your own....

Go ahead and buy foreign, support the EU and what they are trying to do... Support China, so they can buy more of the USA, and put the USA further into debt... Go capitalism,,, with no integrity.... Sparks of TREASON....

I see also that most of the name calling if coming from the people that are vendors. Hurts don't it... I am real glad I do not have to do business with any of you. Not all but some of you can kiss my hairy white ass....

Wait. When did a thread about prices turn into trade and economic nationalism? I consider myself an economic nationalist but within our borders may free enterprise ring. If you can't pay don't whine.

Um i'm not a vendor, just a guy trying to keep his head afloat. IF i sell you item X for $300 and to replace it for $325 not only have i lost money, i also cannot replace item X for what i sold it for.

I was going to post something sarcastic but figured it would go down hill, so i didn't. You madea comment and it has been replied to. IF, KEY WORD IF you chose to "search" the forums, GOUGING" you would realize it's a touchy if often heated debate.
I'd be curious if you have more than 1 what would you sell it for. I'm bucks down and looking to buy something for less than what i see posted on line and in 98% of the ffl's i visit.

Regarding buying Ameican, Unless you drive an 80 or earlier Binder, you have a "foreign" / COMMIE parts cars. Don't care what the name plate says, YOU OWN A FOREIGN SOURCED VEHICLE.

HONDA, TOYOTA, AND a few other car mfg ARE MADE IN AMERICA, BY A NON-UNION SHOP, using some world sourced parts.

If you're interested i have i reliable info there's an opportunity to make some money on AMMO.

ANYONE ELSE SUSPICIOUS? NYNCO DISAPPEARS AND SOMEONE STEPS IN TO TAKE HIS PLACE?
THEN THEY DISAPPEAR AND ..............................NYNCO POPS UP LIKE A BAD CASE OF ACNE.

So if you don't like feedback, don't post. If you don't like this "Pussy site" then leave. If you don't want to deal with "us guys" then stay out of the TP. You are not doing anyone favors by staying here if you are so unsatisfied with this "Pussy Site".
