Someone on another site is claiming Virginia has won out. No idea if it is wishful thinking or inside information though.

I can keep dreaming but I hope that they move to Cheyenne and set up a mega shop with a big I-25 storefront about 2 miles past the border. Then they could build one on every major interstate just outside of Colorado all the way around. That is my dream.

Yep, I'm hoping for Wyoming too. I work in FC and there are two guys who live in Wy. so I might be able to ask them to do some shopping.

I think they said they had learned their lesson about having only one location. They were going to have possibly three locations, maybe WY, UT and NE.

Let's hope they can open up a forth back here in a few years when/if Colorado regains its sanity.

My roommate's father is pretty high up on the Wyoming Business Council, I might try to get in contact with him and see if they've made any efforts to invite Magpul to move North a little. That would be awesome to have the Magpul headquarters at my doorstep.

I think it is wisest if they move as far from CO as possible. If we do regain our sanity then they would have two locations to build/ship from. If they relocated to the East Coast (ie: Virginia) then they could have one plant (probably where there new HQ would be) on the east coast distributing from the Mississippi and eastward then the CO facility could supply everything on the western half. As long we can stop the full retardation of the country, I think Magpul's business will continue to grow. I know a handful of 'old school' guys who never heard of them before this drama.

They have stated they will be a multi-state operation in the future to safeguard against being vulnerable to one states politics.

I don't blame them for wanting to stick it to Colorado and take their entire production out of the state. For those families here in CO that will be in the unemployment line because of it... I'm not sure why they couldn't leave some of the production here (foregrips, sights, collapsible stocks, slings, yada yada yada) and move the magazine production to another state. That way those people here could keep their jobs and they can stand behind their "we can't make magazines in a state where we aren't allowed to sell them" promise. BUT... families be damned... I can see why they want to give the state the middle finger and make sure they never get another tax dollar from them. It is a shame... but they gotta do what they gotta do.

TX taxes and govt. makes the most sense to me...but I'm not the one making the decision.

It will be someplace centralized with access to major avenues of shipping. So I-70 or I-80 corridor, and a major FedEx/UPS hub. Texas has some advantages, but the climate their is a kick in the balls, and if you can pick your poison on where you want to put operations, why do that to yourself.

Cheyenne makes complete sense. You wouldn't have to uproot your family and just commute. Employees could opt to stay employed and commute also. You could structure your shifts for longer hours and less days or create a kind of Magpul town with bunk houses or a block of apartments. Over time many folks would just move to Cheyenne. It's not too far from their current location. I bet if they approached the city they would move mountains to get them there.

Makes sense to me but maybe I'm not seeing the bigger picture.

It also seems that Magpul and Noveske have a tight relationship. Oregon would make a lot of sense as well.

Regardless, I agree with Sniper7. It just goes to show that the Libtards only care about pushing their agenda and at whatever the cost. I hope they feel the backlash at the ballot box.
