Me? Husband, Father, Medical Professional, Libertarian and firm believer in the Second Amendment
I am a Christian in the most boiled down sense of the word. I am not some Bible thumping Evangelical. Mostly, I feel that Christianity in this country has been co-opted by the right and turned into a political tool. On the other hand, the whole hippie-pacifist crap that is trying to take away American's Second Amendment Rights is an enormously hypocritical pile of sh*t. Pacifism is a luxury good paid for by the blood of warriors.
What I am not is a Republican or a Democrat. I am the American Political Equivalent of an atheist. I feel that Our Republic is as close to a perfect form of self governance there is. The two major political parties are essentially enormous untruths propagated by the corporations that are actually pulling the strings.
Litmus Test Issues:
The Second Amendment - Fight to preserve. Do so fiercely.
Gay Marriage - None of my f**king business. Nor is it anyone else's but the two parties involved. Take your religious dogma and stick it.
Abortion - None of my f**king business. Considering I don't have a uterus, I don't pretend to want to tell anyone else what to do with theirs. Take your religious dogma and shove it.
Drugs - Thank G*D Colorado and Washington have actually done something sensible. One again, you know where you can take your religious dogmas.
The Environment- We'd better do something. I am not a tree hugger, but simple logic and what appears to be a growing weight of scientific evidence shows something is wrong. Simply put: You don't sh*t where you eat.
Corporations- They are the one's who are seemingly calling the shots these days. I am fairly sure the major oil companies, Wall Street and the Banks own the U.S. Government. I am loathe to admit that the people may actually not do so now. When the lobbyists from the above mentioned industries are essentially writing all of the legislation in regard to their business, saying that the fox is guarding the henhouse is a quaint understatement.
Let the backlash commence,
