View Full Version : TSA in new and unexpected places . . .

We all know and expect that TSA will conduct searches of citizens wishing to board an airplane, to protect us from passengers who might intend to seize control of the cockpit and turn a jetliner into a terrorist missile. I was initially surprised to hear about TSA also screening passengers of buses, trains, and boats, but after a time accepted it as the new policy. NOW I hear that TSA is conducting intrusive searches of students at high school proms . . . and a Federal judge has defended and endorsed this practice. Not a gang infested inner city school either. Just found out about this . . . here's the video.

Didn't think I was going to be able to type this word again today, but here it goes...The TSA are a bunch if IDIOTS.

What kinda crap is that? Once again government over reaching and stepping outside of constitution.

Wonder if they were profiling...

I would like to know WHY they were there to begin with. TSA= Travel Security Admin. Whats this got to do with travel? Why TSA?

So could someone explain how the "T" in TSA applies to school proms? [facepalm]

What I find more disgusting is that a school would endorse such a thing. I know Denver, Aurora and other public schools across the nation have in-house security for obvious reasons. If the school was concerned about safety/security for prom, why not hire contract security to set up and conduct screening rather than TSA? Things have been getting out of control for a long time (since 9/11) and now we are starting to see the disease spread to the heart of our communities. Figure it won't be long before the echoing sound of magazines being loaded in mass quantities fills the air across our neighborhoods.

TSA is under the umbrella of DHS, along with several other (well armed) agencies.

hahaha wtf. I know this analogy gets tossed around too much, but imagine the media furor that would have been raised had Bush said this back when he was in office.

That video was uploaded almost two years ago.  The issue was TSA certified screeners, not TSA conducting the screening, and the video showed the NM State Police conducting hand wanding at a HS senior prom in May 2011.

If you are going to jump on a bandwagon and kick dead horses, please be timely.

Timely? There are people out there waiting for the NRA to do something in CO. [ROFL1]

Unexpected? I believe I predicted this years ago. And this is only the beginning unfortunately.
