View Full Version : Probably going to offend some people tomorrow
The wife wants me to take her to Manitou Springs tomorrow. That place is crawling with hippies. I plan on wearing my "free Colorado" t-shirt.
I've got a dollar that says I get a couple of dirty looks.

Just a bright spot for you to think about!!!

Spent much time in Manitou? There is a guy you can always see there hanging out in a kilt and open carrying a 1911. I don't think your daring shirt will get too much attention.
I don't spend a lot of time there but I think I would have remembered a guy in a kilt with a 1911.
I do remember two college age kids with beards trying to sell me some scented oils until I threatened to shove all of those little bottles up their asses one at a time.

tmjohnson...maybe your post was the product of spell-check functions, but "yuppies" and "hippies" are completely different.
yuppie is derived from young urban professional. i was a part of that demographic when i was young. however, i was never a hippie. two totally different groups along with totally different values/beliefs.
i've never worn my hair long (unlike most hippies) but did sport a sweet mullet back in the day because it looked cool hanging out of my hockey helmet...and i've been gainfully employed for my entire adult life (unlike hippies).
take a look at the pearl street mall and you'll know what i'm talking about.

walk around with an empty 30 round PMAG
;)
I go through there on the hog a couple of times a year, I make it a point to whack the throttle a couple of times and scare the piss out of a few of them, oh and BTW: the older members here will remember this funny little memory, I still haven't waved at anyone on the road while on the bike.....[shithitsfan][ROFL1]

Today I saw some idiot redneck with an assault rifle shirt at the farmers market. It really upset me as a Pacifist-American, I mean does he really want trouble here? I mean who could possibly degrade themselves with a picture of a baby killing machine like that. Good thing he didn't whip out any assault clips or I would have had to access my inner Chi and cover myself in feces and throw up like my professor told me, that would show him who's in control. I really hope he doesn't come back.
Wearing a pro-gun t-shirt in Manitou?
So brave.
I'll try to have the wife snap a picture of me outside the "Trippin' Troll" throwing two middle fingers up.

I put my "free Colorado" sticker on my back glass of my jeep and on my way home yesterday, a lady called me a redneck hillbilly babykiller. She was driving a prius covered in obama stickers.....

I tried awfully hard to get my two year old to wave to her, now that would've been even funnier
I put this bumper sticker on all our vehicles. I spot a lot of frowning faces and some laughing ones in my rear view, but no one has confronted me yet. I even had one guy follow me to the pumps and Costco to tell me how awesome the sticker was. Said he was pissed at first - from a distance, but then when he realized what it was, he had to follow me and find out where to get one.

Well... Slight change of plans at the last minute. No trip to Manitou today. I did rock the "Free Colorado" shirt but went to old town Littleton instead.
