Anyone here ever taken the time to attend the Tulsa Arms show. It is held twice a year. I have been to the last six or seven shows. It is by far the best show in the US as far as I am concerned. It is 11 acres under one roof. If you can't find it there you probably don't need it. Check out this link if you are interested. It takes about 9 1/2 hours to drive from Denver to Tulsa. Hope to see you there.

holy shit

Something to think about: If all our tables (2800 8ft. and 1200 6ft.) were placed end to end they would stretch 5.7 miles!

If you spend the whole 18 hours we are open to the public and divide that by 4,100 tables, You will have 15.8 seconds to look at each table.

I have been going to Tulsa every April for as long as I can remember. More than 40 years. What happens in Tulsa stays in Tulsa. Selection is great and the private sales are nothing like the restricted sales around here. If you go, I am upstairs on the North wall. Have three tables. Normally sell out by 5pm Saturday. Expect to sell out by noon Saturday next weekend. Wanamachers Tulsa show is absolutely the best show. Probably in North America. The Ca shows used to be great. Now it is Tulsa. Still love my Duck gun Jim. Hope to see you there.

Went to that show many times when I lived there. Its hard to imagine how big it is until you have been there. There are literally tens of millions of dollars of guns in there. Private sales are not restricted, so you could buy something there and no paper work. Prices can vary wildly as well. Bring walking shoes, as you'll need it. Years ago, before the liberal fairgrounds board stepped in, Randy Weaver and the like would give speeches there. Then they were banned. In 2009, you could almost hear the whispers of the next 1861 or 1776 there. I can only imagine what one will here there now.

Used to know a guy's son that raced in the chili bowl, he was the one murdered by his grandfather last year just before the race.

My son and I drove to Tulsa this past week. Left 4:30am Denver time got there 3:37pm Tulsa time. We spent all day Friday-dealer day-and all day Saturday at the show. Ammo was HIGH-but gun prices were good. We walked about 18 miles over the two days. I will be there again in November.

I picked up quite a bit of ammo. 45lc,44mag, 3006 and 308. All from Bitterroot. 45lc 26.00/50 28.00/50 for bear loads. match 308 and 3006 23.00/20. Several cases of AK ammo. Also got an Encore in 270 and 50cal. Found a very nice 1903A3. 43 rework then never issued again. I was very happy with that find. Picked up 6 80 series Colt and several frankin AR's. Mostly plum crazy and frontier lowers. Great show, crowd was looking for ammo and not so much for guns. I have never had a bad Tulsa. Hope to see you there next April.

is the april show any better than the november one?

They used to both be about the same. I used to go to both shows until about 3 years ago. The November show used to be in October, but a conflict with a horse show took the gun show October week and the show moved to November. The November show conflicts with Missouri rifle deer season opener. Like I said in an earlier post I have never had a bad Tulsa. Its like fishing in Canada. Not much fishing here after you have been to Canada fishing. Once you have been to Wanamacher Tulsa gun show most other gun shows don't measure up. If I were a younger man I would start a hugh gun show 50 feet from the Colorado border in Wyoming along I-25.

The tulsa show used to be alot more entertaining until the fairgrounds board began messing around with things. It became over-run with liberals, and they proceeded to restrict who could speak at the shows, and upping the fees for use of the building. Then they began catering to the horse show crowd, ran out a theme park that had been there for years, and forced the fall show to reschedule. It came to an end when a scandal blew up there, and some board members were voted out, and people were fired. One of the board members let the waterpark skip a couple of years worth of lease payments.

I believe each and EVERY table at the Wanenmacher Tulsa Gun Shows gets a lot of attention and potential customers however with current table prices of $165 each, kinda weeds out the little guy who gets a table to just get rid of some of his excess/no longer needed stuff.

Wanenmacher's Tulsa Arms Show (World's Largest) truly is the best show. Born and raised in Tulsa, attending for 35 years. It's a quick 9-10 hour drive from Denver. I highly recommend as others have stated in this thread. Here is a pic (poor quality) from April's show.

Went to April 2012 show. Walked all day, both days, still didn't see everything. Would love to go back, but had a schedule conflict this year. The picture in the previous post gives an idea, but does not do it justice. I have a couple that aren't much better, and will add them if I can find them.

Definitely worth the road trip at least once, just to experience it.

And yes, you can still get your jerky and Scentsy fix, but you'll have to look a little harder. HAHA.

MODArmory attends the Tulsa Arms show and feel it is worth a trip out! The Tulsa Arms show or the Small Arms Review Show in Phoenix will make you never want to attend another Tanner Show.

I saw something recently about the Tulsa show, referencing that Fri is "dealers only". If this is the case, what kind of dealer license do they require? I figure it might allow one to get some early deals. Thinking about going in April.

Unless there has been a serious change in the Tulsa Wanenmacher show operations, Friday is the day for dealers to enter and do their setup. Of course they can take their "helpers" in with them and if the helpers number more than one per that dealers tables, then those "helpers" can buy a dealer badge at around 1PM, for a rather high price. You will see huge numbers of people walking around with a dealer badge but they have no table, just have a dealer buddy. That's how it has worked for many years. Friday IS the day to do the buying and there are fewer people clogging up the aisles on that day.

Correct, Friday is buying day and also Saturday morning on the West end. Those guys set up Saturday before 0800. One year in the late 1990's I spent 3800.00 from a guy waiting in line. He was selling his dads Colts. To get in early you will need to purchase a phantom table. Fairly expensive, but worth the money. Call the show for more info. If you find me and carry in something you can get in on my early in pass at 1000. Ready for April!

Nice! I made it out to the November show as well. Spent 4k more then I had planned on spending too. DOH! I did score a 1k brick of Lake City 7.62 2013 manufacturing date for $750. Unfortunately I didn't make the April show, but plan on attending the November 2014 show. What a great way to spend a long weekend! :D
