So I went to Kali (Santa Barbara, which is very nice) for my cousins wedding. I went to his house and did NOT vandalize the Obama signs in his yard, (applause, bitches) or rip the Obama shirt off his body and burn it. I think the COAR/MACHINEGUN TOURS shirts might havw given me away. Anyway, I saw a gun store ( a gun store in Kali ???) so I stopped in. A few 10/22s and a Mini-14 or two. Glocks were running 569$ for the full-size models, but it was ammo that blew me away. 9.99$ for a 20rd box of 7.62x39 WOLF!!!!!!! I shoot the hell out of Wolf, but .50 cents a round??? I could pay off my house with my pile!! Ryan

While I applaud your restraint, I do believe that the COAR/MACHINEGUNTOURS shirt was a nice touch. You're probably now on some Kalifornia terrorist watch list though.
Well Done.

I need to get some shirts like that and re-visit Boston where I was incarcerated (i.e. serving active duty AF) from 2003 - 2005. I had to leave my guns here with a buddy (trusting; aint I?!) because of their ludicrous laws.

Nancy Pelosi called and said you and your shirts are no longer allowed in Kalifornia! :)

California is a whole different world. I've had to go out to San Francisco several times this year and last year for work. I was there watching the local Fox news the day it was announced the city ban on handguns was overturned. The reporters were like [Rant1]when I flipped over to another news channel it got even worse.

Ended up sharing a Super Shuttle from the airport with an older gentleman from the area who was just getting back from helping with the caucus in Texas and he was all about Obama. Amazing to listen to someone support Obama so much in person. About the only thing we agreed on was voting was important.

So, here's thing about the PRC. If you own a gun, there are plenty of places for you to shoot. Private and public ranges abound. I only had one person ever comment on my AR when I lived there. He was obviously a cop snooping around. I very pointedly told him to have self coitious. My buddy I was shooting with (a cop, also) badged him and told him to *uck off, too. You can buy guns, you can own guns. Tax on Ammo will get you. No hi-cap mags unless you are a gang member, or cop, or whatever. So, if you already own a gun, the state is very cool. It is buying new guns that are difficult. No FTF and an 11 working day wait. Republican Governor, BTW.

I am leaving Thursday morning for the PRC and am very nervous about our itenerary as I will not be able to carry while there. I know, concealed is ... but getting shot by the PoPo sucks, too. The folks we are visiting are both cops, so at least someone will be packing.
