New Frontier lower

I'm looking to build a low-cost AR to have as an extra rifle for myself or family. Looking at a New Frontier lower, either stripped or with the lower parts (mostly polymer) installed. Can I get any feedback on experiences with these?

My personal experience with them is if you use a good LPK they are fine. Some take a little filing to get all the parts to fit. The factory assembled NF poly lowers have all plastic internals (hammer), and they looked cheap!

Right on.. I don't really question the actual stripped lower, it's the parts that concern me.. I can get the stripped lower for $75 shipped.

I have had several of the poly lowers (not Frontier- Plum Crazy) and they ahve been fine. I ran several thousand 5.45x39 rounds through a Heavy barrel 20" upper, then swapped that lower to a 5.56 16" upper, ran it another 1000 or so rounds, and ended up trading the lower off on a different 5.56 15" upper, still doing just fine.
I have another Plum Crazy I picked up with a 6mmx45 heavy upper and it shoots just fine, and by fine I mean that it shoots sub-MOA groups- three shot group with all rounds touching. No issues whatsoever and its all stock down to the plastic hammer.

I've used NFA polymer lowers and they run fine. I wasn't expecting much, but have been impressed with their performance and how well they hold up. I'll be selling a built NFA lower now that I'm downsizing, but would recommend them to anyone looking for a lightweight, durable cost effective solution.

I have two of the New frontier lowers, both have a trigger pull that is far smoother and crisper compared to my mil-spec non polymer triggers. I have replaced most of my mil-spec triggers with drop in units due to their gravel road feel, I don't see any need to replace the polymer triggers supplied with the New Frontier lowers. The only negative I have noticed is the fit between upper and lower, if held up to light source, you can see a slight gap. It certainly has had no adverse effect on performance of function.
