Does anyone else love this show? I picked it up after the first season ended. It's basically gun porn and soft porn combined in one hour. Good production values, very good gun handling and tactics, lots of brass flying everywhere.

Never seen it, but it sounds good! Is it better than Nude Nuns with Big Guns? (<--- that's on Netflix, btw)

Dare I say it is better than NNWBG (which I did, in fact, watch).

Well that's good to hear. I couldn't get through NNWBG.

Can't blame you. I threw it on during "bad movie night" with friends.

Strike Back is one of the very best on TV if you like a lot of gun action, cussin and screwing with appropriate amount of nudity. Not so much for the kids but is just fine for us more mature folks. You will NOT be disappointed unless you are a real prude.[Beer]
Its awesome. Second season (replay on MAX as I type) was the best of the three.

Is this on Netflix?
I do not believe so. Really wish it was for when I travel. Strike Back and Banshee make Cinemax worth it.
I like the show waiting for season 4 sorry put a 3 instead of 4 and didn't catch it. Not every episod has t&a but, it makes up with it with guns and blowing shit up. You will like season 2!
Great show but I am missing one of the episodes in season 2 (really season 3 - really, look it up) so I cant go forward without it. Cant find it on on on-demand... errgh.

One of our favorite series and can't wait for the new season to get underway.

One of my favorite shows.
After the Strike Back marathon this past weekend, I now have all of the episodes on my DVR. This show is awesome.

I'm resurrecting this months old thread as I just finished Season 1 (or rather Series 1 as the Brits would say) and really enjoyed it ... looking forward to starting Season 2 (which would be the first season shown in the US on Cinemax). Season 1 aired on the British "Sky 1" network. Some people get confused by the series numbering because they also call Season 2 "Season 1" because it's the first one they showed on Cinemax.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strike_Back_%28TV_series%29#Series_overview <- SPOILERS ABOUND ... YOU'VE BEEN WARNED
Only little thing that bugs me is how Porter's character was kicked out of the service after the "botched" mission ... I didn't think he would have been held responsible for the deaths of his team members and discharged over it ... fog of war and all that (and for those that know how all that turns out, no spoilers for the others please).
Just keep in mind that if you buy the first series on disk you will have to have a multi-region or region free dvd player or it won't work (its encoded Region 2 and we live in Region 1). Or you could just search the dark crevices of the interwebs and download them from there (the ones I found are real nice 720p .mkv files ... only downsides are that the files weigh in at about 2.25GB per episode and I had to remux them because they had DTS audio, which is pretty awesome but my Plex server couldn't transcode them to play via my Roku devices ... so I changed the audio codec to AAC and they worked fine).

It's a great show. It's like if the producers of "The Unit" dumped all the army wives garbage and stuck to showing bad guys get the filled in and gunslingers getting the girls.
FWIW Zundfolge, They offered to let him stay in the Army. Porter was no going to be allowed to stay in the SAS after his team got killed because (it was thought) he made a bad call on a mission.
That shit is real life. I know of two guys that are PNG from tier 1 units because of calls they made on the ground. When lives are on the line some organizations have higher standards than others.

You can watch it on your computer or Kindle by buying individual episodes from Amazon or you could download it from those "dark corners" I mentioned and watch for free [insert evil laughter].

I wish I was bi-lingual so I could understand some of that.

I get lost after "It's not on Netflix/Hulu/Amazon".

Love them both. Good guys win bad guys don't. They don't mix words or political correctness as to who are the bad folks in the world today.

Yup if you aren't sold during season 1, season 2 will definitely get you hooked. If not: you're broken!

Netflix has seasons 1 & 2 on DVD. I hacked into my wife's Netflix account and moved them to the top of her queue. I just have to wait for her to watch/return the 3 chick-flicks she's getting today.
After reading about how good this show is I borrowed seasons 1&2 from the library. Great show!

Maybe "hacked" was a little strong. More like she logged into her account on my computer...which remembered her ID/password. Could've been that.

Yeah, coulda been. Just cracks me up the way people use the term 'hacked' these days and I think we have famous people who get drunk and leave their Blackberry lay around in years past to thank for that.

I may have used "hacked" in a tongue-in-cheek kinda way. Just sayin'.
