All,
Just wanted to throw out an update...
On Mar 11th I went to the ER with severe shoulder pain. Here's what followed...
I was admitted to the hospital and put in an induced coma and on a ventilator for the next 12 days. I was diagnosed with having Pneumonia with empyema (a collection of pus around the lung). They put 4 chest tubes in my right side and started giving me meds to hopefully start breaking up the pus so it could drain. Well they brought me out of the coma and about a week later removed the tubes and I was able to spend Easter at home. I almost didnt make it through this one. So happy to be home!
I just wanted to pass this along and to let anyone know I was working any deals with that I am back and should be following up with you in the next few days.
Rob
Wow! Glad you are back and fully recovered. I will change my -1 on you now. :)

Yeah, that's some serious shit right there. Glad you you made it though OK and I hope everything stays for the best. [Beer]
Being the medical person I am, here is the lesson of the thread - Don't ignore what may seem to be a stupid sign or symptom. Getting those "it's nothing, don't worry about it" things checked out may very well save your life.

I've never heard any true-er words bud!
They still dont know how I got this...
Holy cow man, I'm glad you're back and doing well. If anyone gives you flak for not communicating, they need to be slapped. I hope you and yours enjoyed this extra poignant Easter.

When I read the thread title I thought you were saying this was your last month to live.
Sounds crappy, glad you pulled through.

Uhh, you might wanna check with Jim before you turn that frown upside down [Tooth]
Wow... that's a nasty way to spend time in the hospital! Chest tubes are painful, tricky affairs... probably a bit of a blessing they had you knocked out! Glad to hear you recovered well, and in time for Easter w/ your family! Welcome back!
Damn man I'm glad your oput of the hospital, take it easy!

Chest tubes are painful, tricky affairs...
Good move getting immediate attention.
But when those chest tube entries heal they look like bullet holes. You can make up all kinds of stories about them.
I have a couple from a triple bypass. There is a smaller one from where they left a couple wires going directly to the heart...just in case.
Quack just said don't let any kids with 9V batteries around you before they took them out.
;->
welcome back, and hope you recover fast!
