RGUNS UPS Shipment Notification
On January 8th, I ordered 2 complete BCG's from RGUNS, which were supposedly "in stock".
Today, April 1st, I finally got a UPS Shipment Notification. I hope this isn't some sick RGUNS April Fools prank.
Along the way I received no communication from them and their policy of charging an outrageous "restocking fee" amount for cancelled orders is ridiculous.
While I'm looking forward to finally getting these BCG's, I don't think I'll ever do business with RGUNS again!
It isn't, I just got mine with the order date of Jan 9th. One of those ol' "oh shit what's in this box, I haven't ordered anything" days
My order on 1/4 for two BCGs shipped already, my father in law placed an order for an in stock upper and still nothing. Both were tricked into ordering.
Basically the same happened to me. Ordered an LPK and "in stock" BCG a month or so ago. One day the LPK showed up with no notice at all. Maybe the BCG will someday.

If you ordered on 1/8/13 and just got notification, guess I have another 19 days of waiting......[Mad]
It took my order about 10 weeks total which was placed beginning of January.

Good to hear that others are getting their stuff in from RGuns. I have an MOE upper on order as well from 1 Feb.
We ordered on the same day, and mine is supposed to be here tomorrow. I do not think that I will be doing business with them anymore either. Maybe if the panic subsides, but I doubt it. The only reason I ordered is because it said that it was in stock, then they never returned a request for an update on the order. The list of companies that I trust to do business with is getting shorter by the day during all of this.

IMHO their ad was a way to increase capital flowing to them. If 1000 people ordered and 20 of them cancelled their free income (return policy) nets them say $1K. Not bad for an item OOS.
It's a legal scam as they informed any buyers that there would be a restocking FEE, if order was cancelled. With the [panic] buy's happening, who wouldn't jump on their deal, in stock or not. Hell my midway 22lr with plastic ammo can, will show up, eventually.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Do NOT do business with RGuns under ANY circumstance. If people actually listened to the horror stories this dumpster fire of an outfit would be out of business and we wouldn't have to hear new horror stories about their constant bullshit.
<p>
I ordered, back on 14 December of last year, an upper and a lower at the same time, from their in stock products. The upper arrived, as could be expected because of the christmas rush, just before the first of the year. The lower...well I waited. And waited. And waited some more. And went to the gun store that was having it shipped to. And waited some more. And waited...all without confirmation from Rguns, shipping info, anything. No return e-mails, refusing to answer their phones. It finally showed up at the beginning of March. At least, it showed up in the sense that a particular moron working at the store (I will not name and shame) refused to open the box because their wasn't a name on it. That's right, my lower sat in a safe for almost two months because they couldn't be bothered to open it up and check the invoice. Rguns customer service is HORRIBLE. I've read horror stories (after ordering everything of course, I didn't do my due dilligence) of new weapons failing miserably and them refusing the take care of the problem. Lucky for me however I put the AR together, took it out to the range a couple weeks ago, and it fired from brand new (after a preliminary cleaning and lube job) 90 rounds with only one failure to feed, which could be attributed to a slightly missized round. Everything on the weapon is solid. There were some very small nicks on the outside of the lower but they were cosmetic, not rough, and do not interfere with the function at all. Even so after reading the reviews they've accrued, and the customer service they have, they will not get another dime from me if they are the last gun store on the planet.</p>

I received my initial notification on Monday that a shipping label had been created for my 3 month old order (with an expected delivery date of Apr 4th). It's now Friday evening and the UPS Shipment Tracking information hasn't changed since it's initial creation.
A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated.
Of course, Monday was April Fool's Day...perhaps RGuns thought they were being funny. Absolutely the last time I deal with them.

Good service or not that guy's video doesn't mean anything. Frankly, I'm doubtful he broke it with his "finger". I find that really hard to believe. My guess is he dropped it at some point and it finally broke off while he was polishing it.

They created a shipping ticket and charged me after I sent them an email about my Jan 11 order.
5 days later I am in the same boat as you. How many days do they get to ship it before it's fraud?

I ordered a BCG from RGuns on Feb 8.
Last week I got an email stating that my CC had been declined (Naturally, I found more stuff to buy since Feb 8 and the balance was near max) and requesting me to email new cc # and code so they could complete the order.
Since I do not send cc info via email, I replied multiple times requesting them to provide a phone # for me to call to provide cc info.
I also paid down the balance of the originally supplied cc and asked that they attempt to reprocess using that card.
No response to anything. So I assume that they have cancelled my order. That's ok, I now have history with how RGuns operates and it didn't cost me anything but time. I know now not to do business with RGuns.
I had a shipping label produced from them on 4/9. I think it's for a BCG I have no idea since it's been so long since I ordered.

I didn't order until 2/16. But the prices were good and they apparently don't charge your card until the item(s) are at least close to being shipped. That's something I don't like about companies like PSA that charge your card as soon as the order is placed even if they can't ship for a few weeks or more.
Even thought their site says shipping is taking a while their estimate of a minimum of 4 weeks to ship in-stock items needs to be adjusted to more like 10 or 12 weeks, though.
Nothing I really need so, if it gets here fine, if it doesn't I'm not out anything.

As an aside to this, I found a thread in the Trading Post, Buyer Intel a couple of weeks ago regarding Windham Weaponry having BCG's.
I ordered 2 complete SA BCG's on 3/30 - received them both on 4/8.
Still need one more. But have to pay quarterly tax burden to Uncle's Sam & Hickenlooper first.

It only took 6 days after they charged my cc to ship. What great service. A huge -1
Just saw that my cc was hit today for a "in stock" BCG I ordered in JANUARY. I think I am gonna dispute the charge and wait 4 months to send the BCG back.
Why would anyone order anything from anyone who states they will take 4+ weeks to ship in stock items? If its in stock it should ship by the next business day.
I am clearly in the wrong business....

OK. I was wrong about RGuns. They truly suck. Bad. I was willing to give them some slack. I ordered on Feb 26 only stuff that was "In Stock". That was over 13 weeks ago. I no longer need or want anything I ordered. Lots of you guys said, "Don't do it", but I didn't listen. I placed the order anyway. Now, I'm tired of the order hanging over my head and I emailed them to cancel the order.
This is how the exchange went:
Please cancel this order:
Order Number: 2268-4253-6828
Order Date: 2013-02-16 17:53:18
It's been over 100 days since I placed the order and I no longer want or need the items. According to your website no order cancellation fee should apply since this is well outside your 30 day time frame. My card has not been charged so it doesn't appear the order is ready to ship.
Thanks.
This was their first response:
>try reading it correctly. we are AT LEAST 4 weeks.
So I wrote:
Yeah? Well 13+ weeks is AT LEAST 4 weeks. When I placed the order I was told the items were in stock. Nothing in stock should take 13+ weeks to ship. Your pissy attitude confirms I don't need to do business with your company now or in the future. I'll be sure to post your response on all the gun forums I frequent so others don't make the same mistake I did.
RGuns:
>yeah we are flooded with orders a e mails from dumb asses that cant read. we will post on line about you as well.
I even cancelled the card I used for the order because I don't trust them to not charge me a "cancellation fee", even though the order was well outside their cancellation window.
Lesson learned.
What an asshole... I'm glad you posted this, I'll be happy to keep my business away from there. Didn't know anything about RGUNS before, but now I know all I need to.

Compare that to Brownells srvice. I ordered a shotgun shoulder stock last weekend, they lost the order after 4 days of no ship confirmation I called them, they found my order didn't know why it didn't ship and for my trouble they removed the shipping charge completely which was about $13 and with a lot of apologies also. Quite the contrast I think. RGuns never!
Googled Rguns. I doubt they have many places to go and rant. Seems that quite a few forums have a "don't do business with Rguns" thread.

I'm sure you've seen my thread (http://www.ar-15.co/threads/97289-RGUNS-UPS-Shipment-Notification?highlight=Rguns) about this shitbag company.
They can smoke a turd in hell before they'll ever get another cent from me. I've made it my mission to tell everyone I can about this company and warn them all to avoid them like the plague.
Lately, I've been limiting my business to fellow members Bowers Tactical (http://www.ar-15.co/forums/120-Bowers-Tactical) when I'm in Denver and LiveFire Armory (http://www.ar-15.co/members/9078-LiveFireArmory1) (http://www.livefirearmory.com/) here in the Springs. I stopped by to see Kevin @ LiveFire yesterday to pick up some stuff. As he told me (and I saw for myself), he's got basically everything you could want or need IN STOCK. If you don't live in the Springs area and need your order shipped, he ships out the same day & has free shipping through the end of June. If you order from his site and use code "fiveoff", you'll get a discount. He really does take care of COAR members. If you place an order with him, be sure to put in the shipping comments that you're a CO-AR15 member and that Thomas referred you. I don't get any sort of kick-backs, but it could actually help to save you a few more bucks!
I definitely learned my lesson from RGuns & will only be dealing with people I can see in person if need be.
Yup same here, I ended up getting my stuff but one and done is my motto with rguns. Hope he made enough during this craziness to retire on because that company has no business doing anything other than going belly up.

I ordered a BCG from RGuns back in December due to the fact it was "In Stock" after some research and many angry, upset posts from people I called RGuns and told them I will be there tomorrow I will pick up my order there. The owner told me I was unable to pick up my order (ordered same day) and it would be sent to me. I then asked him to cancel my order and do not charge me a "restocking fee". Zoom all the way in on A to see the storefront.

I ask because I picked up a Rguns complete upper locally and wondered what the consensus is.
Products might be fine but I personally wouldn't own them. Just like a few other names I wouldn't own even if I bough them from the used market. I just won't represent the name of a shady company when there are so many good ones out there to support. I would be ashamed if someone asked me what upper was on my AR15 and I had to answer RGuns. That's just me though.

I can understand we all have our preferences, I was just hoping for a thoughtful critique of a product I don't know much about. I am happy I purchased it new, the gas key and A2 sight post are properly staked and the BCG seems to be proper mil-spec, at a very fair price. But until I put rounds through it and know more it always nice to hear someone say, "Yeah, they're good once you get them delivered." And it's nice to get it from a 'local' group that is in tune with the AR platform. Maybe I'll take more time and be more willing to part with my hard earned dollars for my next rifle, I do like to start small and see what I really want or need before shelling out Daniel Defense type money.

RGuns historically has been hit or miss. They have had some serious quality control issues in the mating of their upper and lowers, the coating being too thick, holes being slightly too small, or misaligned. They have worked on their quality control some, but I can spend an extra $15 somewhere else and get a product with a better track record I will.
That said I have 2 stripped Rock River lowers that I've used in builds which I am very happy with and a few years back they had some QA issues as well, though they have been rockstars since then.

Just to add to the insanity, I ordered a couple of the BCG's that were "in stock" three months ago. Well being a "Noob" and owning four off the shelf Colts, these were my first builds. Had gotten a pair of lowers with the intention of building a rig with my son for his thirteenth birthday. Well, thought $115 for a complete BCG was a good deal so I placed the order March 26th knowing they were gonna take a little while with their "backlog" So I emailed after seven weeks to check on the status and got a very curt reply of "10 days" so I figured all is well. After three weeks go by and no BCG's in the mail I email them this afternoon inquiring as to when I might "really" expect them and this is what I received as a response...

My Dec order arrived today. I refused it. Granted wed i disputed the charges on my CC and was given a credit. Told the CC co i can produce "Volumes" of issues with RGuns from numerous web sites. She's like, works for me.
Been getting orders and parts, yes even BCGs from $100 to $150, from Midway, Brownells, Del-Ton and Windham for at least the last month. The only BOs I don't yet have is one for PMags from DSG and a TM 10/22 receiver from Brownells.

I just don't get it - how are these guys still in business? ?!

PM sent.

Believe it or not, that is tame compared to the communications I've seen from others on other forums. These guys are douches of the highest order and have somehow managed to piss off everyone other than someone willing to get even. Seems like the wrong crowd to make enemies with all over the nation but what do I know?

I just received a shipment notification from my order in February. I guess they decided they better send it before the 1st of July or they might get in trouble. To be honest, I was hoping they would wait and try to send it after. Maybe that would teach them something about advertising things in stock, then waiting almost 5 months to ship.
4/17 - Ordered BCG
7/18 - Recieved UPS notification and CC charge
7/30 - Emailed RGuns stating UPS showed not receiving package yet and wondering if was missing.
7/30 - Got read receipt that they received my email
8/2 - Package arrived at UPS
8/7 - Package in my hands
So, got my stuff, and not particularly concerned about how long took to arrive. Never spoke w/ anyone or got an email, so can't categorize as "tools".
But, their communications leave something to be desired. A company email on the 18th along with UPS stating that " It will actually ship in approximately 2 weeks - please watch your tracking number" would have prevented me from having the neighbors on watch for the box while I was gone in late July.
So, hope the product is better than their comm skills.
