Stupid break action question.

So I have a pretty dumb question... My girlfriend really wants an o/u shotgun, she wants one because she things its awesome that the shells "shoot out" when you break it open. Not wanting to disappoint her id like to know if that is a "Feature" of all break action shotguns.

Nope. They don't all have the automatic ejectors.

Most less pricey O/U have extractors and you still manually have to pull the hulls.

that feature is called "ejectors" and most but not all have them. And in some (most berettas I know) you can turn it off (turn them into extractors). Side by Sides and O/U's typically have them.

It was designed in the 1870's to help bird hunters for side by sides, makes it much faster to reload the gun

It sucks if you reload the hulls though. (because you have to chase them down)

You want a used Browning or Beretta. Remember, fit matters in shotguns.
