Oh shit...this is my former command. I used to work at PERSCOM in Virginia as a Civilian before they moved to Ft. Knox and renamed it the Human Resource Center.

The group I worked for handled officers' personnel records. They merged with the enlisted records group from St. Louis and moved to Ft. Knox. Both groups also handled promotions boards for the Army. I've reached out to my friends in HRC to see if they're able to tell me anything (doubtful if they're on lockdown but I figured I'd try).

My buddy just told me it was a domestic violence thing. He didn't have any other details to share.

I had my money on it being a soldier who was passed over for promotion or was being assigned somewhere shitty. Glad to know that I am just as unintuitive as I've always been.

i figured it was another workplace violence incident involving a nice gentleman who happened to be mooslim. im glad it wasnt though.
