Since Feinstein's AWB didn't go through - she is going for the video games now:

http://venturebeat.com/2013/04/04/senator-feinstein-congress-may-have-to-proceed-with-violent-video-game-regulation/

The main sponsor on the U.S. legislation that banned many assault weapons in the 1990s is now talking about regulating violent video games in the future.Speaking to an audience of 500 people in her hometown of San Francisco, U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) said that game publishers need to make voluntary actions to avoid glorifying guns and violence following the Newtown elementary school massacre in December.
She noted that Congress would take action if the industry didn’t do something, according to the Associated Press (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/04/03/dianne-feinstein-nra_n_3009954.html?utm_hp_ref=politics).
“If Sandy Hook doesn’t [make game publishers change] … then maybe we have to proceed, but that is in the future,” said Feinstein.

I think there should be regulation to make legislators more accountable to their constituents- or be fined to hell and be forced to live under the f*cking laws they pass.

Good for her. It's about time someone other than gun owners realize her agenda is not about safety, but control.

Yep. Hopefully she will step on the toes of enough of her left-leaning-video-game-playing, constituents.

The Federal Trade Commission looked at ESRB and compliance, the video game industry polices itself better than music or movies, it is easier for an under age child to see an R movie or Explicit music than it is for them to buy M rated video games. only 13% of under age secret shoppers were able to get M rated games when under age. So, She can go fuck herself.

So, if these video games are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad, then why aren't the testers, who are exposed to hundreds or thousands of hours of them, all out killing everything that moves? I personally know quite a few testers (work for EA) and none of them are pyscho loonie-bin folks that have gone on 'killing sprees'! How many bazillions of games are out there? And how many 'killing sprees'? Not even statistically significant.

She needs to find another tree to try and bark up...

This has been a boogeyman of both parties for years now, ever since Doom in '93.
As a serious gamer and a serious gunner, I like to think I have insight into both worlds.
We all know how we feel about our constitutional rights.
Gamers REALLY don't like people messing with their games and threatening censorship.

There are only 2 rules:

DON'T FUCK WITH OUR VIDEO GAMES

DON'T FUCK WITH OUR GUNS

Keep those in mind and focus on real problems, like jobs, North Korea, deficits, all that jazz.

Ditto! I've played since the good old days myself and with the current crop of realistic graphics, gunplay, and tactics there are so few cases of kids re-enacting their favorite Call Of Duty moments IRL that it is not even close to being an issue. Keep trying Fecalstein, and eventually the people will push back you troll!

When the MSM reports a NK attack would be short lived and not kill that many people, The mindset is set with an agenda that doesn't do anything but remove freedoms 1 step at a time. I want the .gov lackeys to go after video games, some of you lazy gamers (generalization) need a slap in the face to realize something is happening beyond the game console. Reality!

She really loves grasping at straws. Anything she can do to control people. I was just thinking...if Feinstein was bitten by a zombie and later came back as one. I'm pretty sure I'd shoot that cunt atleast 50 times before splitting the wig. Oh, and the car crash video is awesome.

This makes perfect sense to me. Video games really do influence our behavior. This topic reminded me of this kid named Timmy from my home town. He played a ton of PacMan and later decided to be a gay. For anyone not familiar with PacMan; you run around a maze munching up balls and when you eat a really big ball the ghosts go all "woot woot!!! bring it over here girlfriend" and then you munch down on them too. Also, there is fruit. Think about it..."Pac-Man". Just saying...

I think it is great. She should also go after the movies. Not just violent ones but the chick flicks as well. Kid will be kids. I mean we should not have to take any responsibility for our actions. Besides, what are chick flicks doing to the young girls. Life isn't a fairy tale, and beauty is the rule not the acceptation. I'm just saying parents shouldn't have to be parents. Society should help carry the burden of parenting. Think about the people that want to HAVE kids but don't actually WANT kids. The general public should step up and help. Take one for the team so to speak. Just think of the freedom we will have when we let go of the premonition that we should be able to do what we want to do.

Wait.. hang on. No.. thats right, we ARE supposed to take responsibility for our own actions. Guess that is one of the things that makes freedom so expensive.

Get with it man! Personal responsibility is an outdated notion just like the Constitution. We are all children who require our leaders to provide for us and tell us what to think.

Hey, side note...Since we're all commies now when do you think we can get the military to start issuing our gals stuff like this?

Why do we allow crazy old hags to be a position of authority? I sure as hell don't need an angry senile old lady from the nursing home telling me what I can and cannot have. This makes me want to play Grant Theft Auto in a speedo with my AK strapped to my back in a kiddie pool in my front lawn. To quote Cartman "Whateva! Whateva! I'll do what I want!" .... I would love to mushroom stamp that POS.

Feinstein wanting to control video games is a very good thing: the more people that realize how out of control these politicians are, the better it will be for everyone. When it was just guns they were after, those that did not own guns didn't seem to mind. Now include soda, video games, small pets, purple cars, Etc. and it might get more people to take notice.

I agree completely. Let her go after games, she won't get anywhere and it will bring an entire other segment of the population into the same mindset of questioning the "authority".

Amen. Clearly she's not seen that CA (among others) has TRIED to restrict so-called violent video games, but has been slapped down by the courts already multiple times.
Not content with attacking the 2nd Amendment, she's going after the 1st.
