Yeah I got rid of those weather alerts a while ago and I hardly watch TV.

What I don't get, maybe someone can enlighten me, but the forecast is not scary sounding at all. 6-12" in the city, cold...................that is if the weathermen are telling the truth.

I just got a call from my boss saying we are closed tomorrow. We follow Adams 12 schools, and I think that they only did this as we get so many snow days a year. As we get closer to summer and haven't used them yet, they will use an excuse to use them. We have had way worse and I still had to go to work.

I will take the free day off, just makes my life on Wednesday a living hell with work................

Haha I was at douglas county sheriffs office a month ago when we had a blizzard and talking to some guys then my phone started to make that noise I thought it was thier radios until the all were frantically looking and asked if it was my phone

Thanks! I kept thinking about disabling them but always get distracted. I work nights so these freaking warnings always wake me up during the day. I also noticed there are "Presidential Alerts" that I can't disable. [panic]

Fuckin A!!!! We got HALF A FUCKING INCH of snow down here. Of course, the schools are all closed, my wife's phone is blowing up with like it's DEFCON 3, and the neighbors are all unloading boxes of canned goods. It's all these goddamn Californians moving here and thinking the sky is collapsing every time it precipitates a little.

Know how I "prepped" for this storm? Lifted the windshield wipers off the windshield. The end.

America's Newsroom on FNC this morning was even talking about how bad it's going to be in CO today... Their reporter "in the field" was downtown overlooking some intersection that was clear and easily manageable by an elderly man from FL in a Mustang with racing slicks. Give me a break. But, up here in Evergreen we have about 3" and it's still coming down pretty good. The roads are slick and icy thanks to the warmth from the past few days... Coworker who lives in Lakewood couldn't come in, and she was born in CO... I almost wanted to say "Get the sand out of your Vajayjay, we've seen worse."

I was getting 3-5 NWS text alerts on my cell phone, all w/in 2 minutes. If there was a way to send a message w/out text it would be a chicken running crazy because the sky is falling. I called Verizon and told them to block the crap because it was totally useless, inaccurate and annoying. All the panic in the texts and we had maybe 2 inches on the ground this morning.
