Hi guys,

In the past i had a Silver Pigeon 2 and i love the action, the functions, etc, now i want another but i found that exist 1,2,3,4 and 5, whats the difference? Im NOT looking for a fancy engrave or wood, just want the same action (automatic ejectors, trigger selector, barrel, etc) but not find any info online about the differences between 1,2 or 3.

thanks in advance for any advice and help

About $2000.

From what I could find, it looks like the 68x series all have the same mechanics. The differences are in the wood, engravings, and possibly the barrels (lengths, weights, choke tubes?).

Thanks for the reply, this is what I thinking but I can't process this big differences in prices just for the engraving and wood.

Anyway I will start looking for a silver pigeon 1.

My big concerns are if all 686 have auto-extractors and trigger selector.

Yes, they all have ejectors and selective triggers. The only other difference other than the trim level is that some of the lower grades don't have scaled frames to the smaller gauges. Also, the onyx series is the same gun with less engraving. You might look at those if you aren't looking for anything fancy.

I have never seen a Beretta that did not have a scaled receiver unless it was a combo gun. As stated all of the onyx's and silver pigeons are the same action wise besides the "sporting" models. The sporting models are their entry level competition guns and have different barrels, chokes and a wider rib.
