I just went to pick up a lower and was told that CBI is having issues and they're not even accepting submissions. Has anyone else heard this?

I had a transfer done today at 2pm. Took about 45 minutes.

This was literally 15 minutes ago. If I'm going to be paying for this "service", I expect it to be available. Annoyed doesn't begin to describe it.

I wonder if NICS is down nationwide then.

That's what you get when you only pay $10 per background check. If you want better, more consistant service you'll be required to pay more [facepalm]

Bullcrap, all part or Bidens "new world order" statement.

In all serious tho, that sucks.

They had to artificially boost those wait times back up now that things are calming down lol

Typical government scheme: Charge more, deliver less.

It looks like they are going to need to raise their rates to $25 on background checks.

You will soon be paying more for that premium service.

They did that for awhile at the place with the big metal birds. It was expensive and mostly suited to business flyers. I think it failed.

Partly because they now have TSA-PRE for free...

another reason that im down with the gun buyers card in nebraska . fill out the paper once at the sheriffs office , pay 5 bucks , wait 4 days and your card is in the mail . you can take that card to any gun dealer and buy whatever you want (excluding class 3 ) with no wait . this card is good for 3 years . so you do the math . last year i did around 12 background checks for guns = 120.00 x 3 years = 360.00 -vs- 5.00 for 3 years . hell even if you only buy 1 gun in 3 years you just saved 5 bucks

They just need to tie it into the CHL here. No need for a buyers card.

Can anyone confirm if it's still down today?

With all of the problems likely to arise from UBC's I think it sucks they won't let you get a class 1 FFL for personal use.

It looks like it is back up this morning and they have the que down to 240. I believe the outage was a nationwide NICS outage.

Actaully, do you HAVE to do business X amount of times to get the FFL?

When I was reading the regulations it sounded like if an ATF agent thinks you are using it more for your own collection rather than as a business they can recommend your FFL be revoked. I didn't see any requirements for X amount of business conducted in a timframe, but if you buy 4 guns for you and do one FFL transfer for a neighbor it might arouse suspicions.
