On the net I see a wide range of prices for LPKs. RRA for $70, CMMG for $90, LWRC for $130 or $195, etc...
Is it like anything else, you get what you pay for? Anybody use CMMG or LWRC in their setup?

Unless some of the more expensive ones come with a fancy trigger and maybe a grip I've found that they're pretty much the same. The other parts are springs and pins that sit in a lower. As long as they're built to spec it's all good.

One that works.

GI fire control groups and the lower parts in the kits are often a grab bag of parts from different machinists. Bolt catches have course or rough grooves. Ditto for mag release buttons. The triggers with the horizontal finishing are the absolute worst, and there's often no telling when you'll get one. It's like driving through a rowed cornfield sideways. I have to stone every one regardless, so pick you price point. The RRA or CMMG is a good kit if I had to choose. I seem to recall the hammer is slightly stoned, but the triggers all needed work.

I personally like the RRA LPK. There isn't a lot of difference in any of the mil-spec LPK's.

At least they are starting to become available again.

Livefire Armory had RRA LPK's in stock. He was selling them at the RK show for like $70. Looks like the price has gone back up.

G&R Tactical has a mostly-LMT LPK with various trigger options, or the real Colt LPK -- both are almost always out of stock

I've used them all, I like the DPMS kits for the reason you can get them without a trigger and grip, so it makes them a bit cheaper.
