Vepr 5.56 mags are hard to come by and are pricy,their unique to themselves from what I recall.

you can buy a vepr in .223 for 850 right now new can you get any m14/m1a for that?

conversions on veprs to use a standard mag is a bullet guide like a saiga and trimming the mag latch (vepr specific)

it would be different if it were a 23" barreled 5.45 vepr (prime for converting to an rpk-74 and none were imported that i know of) ;)
