North site

anybody know if the north site is still open? I was thinking about heading up there saturday morning or maybe sunday and just want to make sure I am not wasting a drive. I know lefthand was closed, but wasn't sure if the spot everyone here usually goes to was affected or not?

If it is, anybody got any other decent spots. I know you can go anywhere in national forest, but just curious if there is any good dedicated spots.

It has been about a month since I was up there but it was open then. I've heard nothing about it being closed.

I hope it is just far enough that the Left Hand Idiots won't drive up there and get it closed down.

Was up there yesterday, letting my kids hunt their pumpkins. We kilt 'em good. I've been up there 4-5 times in last couple months. Seems to me there was more garbage up there than usual. Kinda ticked me off, when done we picked up a garbage bag worth of stuff to haul out. Several guys shooting next me watched us pick up garbage, then when we were finished, they grabbed their guns and left, leaving all their trash. So, i had to pick up their crap too. Jerks.

Yep, we were up there Friday (Halloween) with my boys shooting punkins, and noticed more trash than usual. Bunch of shot up metal crap at the back end, took more work for the lazy bastards to haul it in than necessary. People are going to ruin it for the rest of us! We hauled out our normal 4-5 Walmart bags of shells and general junk, but did not have the truck to haul out more...[Rant1]

I was there today. The water heater in back is gone; there's a shot-to-h*ll air compressor instead. Pumpkins, of course.

Didn't look too bad garbage wise (thanks to whoever picked up). Someone's been having a LOT of fun with clays.
