Unlike the folks from Fort Fun (site of my alma mater) I'm local. In COS and Colorado to live for the first time since I left for Officer Candidate School in 1980!
Glad to be here. As for AR-15's I have an ArmaLite M-15 that appears to have some "issues" and a pair of Stags that flat-out run ! I haven't actually shot the M-15, just having gotten it back from younger son who took it to Thunder Ranch. I notice he's got a good bit of left windage on it. He had to bum a bolt from an Oregon cop to finish the course at TR. This leads me to suspect that the barrel installation may be at fault. God knows ArmaLite's had some QA problems.
I've used the AR-15/M-16 system continuously since 1973. I was a school-trained Armorer as my first job in USMC. Turned in my last M4 a few months back.
