They just don't come any nicer than a Wilson Combat Supergrade. I was told to stay away from high end 1911's or I would get hooked. I got hooked all the way.

Beautiful. A little odd it doesn't have the "magwell grips" since it has a magwell.

You should take that baby over to Rich Wyatt at Gunsmoke and get a real emblem engraved on the slide from one of their "Master" gunsmiths.

Serious? A WC is a bucket list gun for me. Had no idea it was that type of time frame.

I've got a Wilson CQB, Nighthawk Predator and a Les Baer Premier II. I couldn't tell you which is my favorite nor which one shoots better. I've put several thousand thru each and about 500 thru the CQB in the last week. I can tell you that Les Baer is the best and cheapest way into custom 1911s. Being a good shopper, I was able to get my LB off Gunbroker very slightly used for $1500 a little over a year ago. Granted that might be hard to do today.
