View Full Version : Who has a bucket list?
Been doing some thinking lately and think I am going to put together a bucket list for the things I want to do before I die. Any of you guys have one? What's on your list?

Don't die is on mine.
I have one for this summer.........
Do tell tease.
I have one but its pretty short.
Go to Alaska.
Go see the Grand Canyon.
Although, I might add the "two chicks at the same time".
Don't die is on mine.
I had your mentality when I was young.
Now I kind of look forward to death as a way to get off this God forsaken planet we live on.

I put a new line on mine every day:
*Wake up tomorrow morning.
Seriously, though... No official list but there are things I'd like to do. But I've had a pretty good ride up to this point. I think a list that allows me to undo some of the things I've done would be more helpful.
I would like to go to a concert. Never been

Try to start thinking now. I had a Stroke at 34, caused by a birth defect I never knew I had.
I've nearly been hit two times in the last couple weeks, walking in the crosswalk on the walk signal. (red light running) Saw one T-Bone hit last night in the same spot.
Things happen. Start the bucket and empty it.

Alaska trip-I need to hurry up on that wish.
I had a list when I was in my 20's. I was fortunate enough to cover pretty much the whole list. If I were run over by a bus ten minutes from now, it'd be hard to argue I didn't have a decent life.

I guess I've completed most of my list so far (still paying for one or two of them).
Still have these to go:
1. Own an Aston Martin
2. Go to Alaska
3. Go to Japan
4. Skydive
5. Have a sword fight (saving this for later)
I came up with my bucket list the first week of Deployment to Afghanistan in 2008...
1. Survive Afghanistan- Done 12/2009
2. Visit D.C., see all the historical monuments and such.
3. Visit Pearl Harbor
4. Visit Ireland
5. Visit Scotland, see our clan hall.
6. Ride in a blackhawk helicopter- Done 04/2009
7. Fly a helicopter (probably won't happen)
8. Publish a novel
9. Meet Ted Nugent
10. Pay respects to those who came before me at Arlington (separate from the visit D.C. because this has a special purpose for me)
Luckily I've still got a few years to try and accomplish the things I have yet to accomplish.
