Going through the Formal MEB process right now... I just want to scream!

:edit If anyone is faced with a military Medical Evaluation Board process on here, I suggest you do not trust ANYTHING they say, and talk to the DAV or some other organization before you sign F____ing ANYTHING!

Good luck getting a hold of the DAV around here. Been trying to get in contact with them to reopen my disability claim with VA and got told I'd be called back in a day or two, three weeks ago. No response to my emails either.

i felt pretty crappy at first but it worked out well for me. I don't miss it at all. Lots of positives in this, lots of positives!

Will take you up on that. You are definately right about feeling crappy. I guess in the process if I stop fighting right now gets me out in as little at 60-70 days. I have to buckle down and get looking for jobs, an IT background without a bachelor's degree is not helping me from what the job listings are telling me so far.

That is not cool. I have a rep here on base at Lackland that I will probably be seeing Wednesday. Supposedly he will go through all my records and initiate the claims before I return home.

Dave: I think I have an e-mail at home of a guy that came to our TAP class. He said to e-mail him whenever he is needed. He doesn't do phone well due to his voicemail always full. I'll get it to you when I get home

Due to my PEBLOs pressuring and misguided faith in the system returning me to duty, I did not request an initial independent review of my records. So now I am stuck with 10% as far as Air Force is concerned, but I can still go the VA compensation route. Does not help with supporting a wife and 4 kids, but it will have to do.

Good news is I guess there is always a new possibility of some new custom-built AR platform rifles coming up for sale in the trading post! [Bang]
