View Full Version : Next Backlash?
So now that we have a bombing in Boston, I wonder what the next backlash is going to be? [Bang]
I suspect that gun owners will be somehow blamed for this.

Obviously bombs need to be outlawed or at least heavily regulated so bombings won't happen again.
It's all because of our gun culture.

There will be enough cameras installed to follow everyone from the time they put their socks on in the morning till the time they take them off for bed time.
That way the NSA can play with their new toy out in Utah.

Powder... there is NO REASON you need a WHOLE POUND of gunpowder... it should be regulated and taxed heavily

This. As if reloading supplies weren't scarce enough at the moment

If only there were more laws!!! We keep telling em and they keep making em. Not hearing the sarcasm. How frustrating.

Yeah, my first thought as well. Fox news also mentioned "shotgun pellets" numerous times...

What about ball bearings and nails. You're gonna need an FFL to buy metal screws.[dig]

Me? I think we should ban running. Why does anyone NEED to run 26 miles? You can't do it while holding scissors. You shouldn't do it inside schools.
Isn't it obvious these high-capacity running events cause explosions? Furthermore, these high-capacity running events are simply designed to get as many people running in the shortest amount of time possible. Let's keep running on the battlefield where it belongs.
If we're going to allow people to run we should limit their running to 10 miles.
There is simply no NEED to run.
Some libtard on CNN blamed right wing extremists. Because after all, that is the only logical answer. [facepalm]

No, but you CAN bear down and squeeze out some floating democrats in the pool just to freak everybody out... :-)

Just waiting for the "Reichstag" moment/incident.
More LE/MIL presence, further expansion of the "Patriot Act", further erosion of a free nation.
Listening to the the news conferences last night and this AM and it'll be like 9/11 again. The public will not be a place you get any privacy. Random searches of your backpacks, more cameras, more LEO on the streets, etc. The scariest line I heard..."This is all for the safety of the public".

I just read that it was a bomb made out of a 6 liter pressure cooker and stuffed with shrapnel. Not sure how accurate these reports are. I am betting somebody has video or pictures of the people who did this, as police are asking for anyone with pictures or video of the area.

If that happens, I doubt Obama would even know about it until after it happens. After all, the office of POTUS has clearly devolved to nothing more than the public face of the government . . . and talking heads don't have a "need to know." Everyone on the Right wants to blame Obama, just like everyone on the Left wanted to blame W, but it seems like the people actually running things behind the scenes remain the same.
The sooner the nation gets serious about making marathons illegal the sooner my children can walk down the streets of Boston safely.
