I didn't hear it as a warning per se. The way he said it was more of an acknowledgement that "shit happens" and a new president can expect to get right to work and have things to deal with. Bidens statement, while more ominous, reads the same if we don't look at it with our peculiar bias - that being prepared and anticipating this crap.

Now there are some very strange things happening and there is also ALOT of BS floating around. It pays to read everything with a grain of salt and verify, verify, verify.

From what I've been hearing/reading, there's word of an imminent threat. McCain's and Obama's staff have been getting their security clearances for intelligence briefings since it appears that they'll have an immediate situation to deal with. There have been a number of countries that have experienced terrorist attacks just following their elections. There's also talk that Iran is going to do something to test the will of the new President.
