I normally don't get into politics but I've done a bit of reading on this.

McCain is a natural born citizen because both his parents were citizens.

According to the laws at the time, if Obama was born in Kenya to his mother, her citizenship would have not been automatically transferred to him, because she was not old enough (IIRC it was something like 21 and she was 19).

If he was born in Hawaii, he's a naturally born citizen.

But, he went to school in Indonesia, and they don't accept anyone but Indonesian citizens. He had Indonesian citizenship by way of being adopted by his stepfather, but Indonesia doesn't recognize dual citizenship, so he would have had to renounce his American citizenship.

As for the obamacrimes website, Philip Berg did file a suit against the Democratic party for Obama's birth certificate (see the video in the above link), and they have yet to produce it. The site says that since they haven't answered yet, they're admitting all that stuff (which of course nobody has actually said). There's another guy that filed a similar suit in Washington state last week, to similar lack of response.

So, no, it's not just some email rumor. That being said, he could produce a real (preferably the original 'vault copy' from 1961) birth certificate from Hawaii in the next 2 weeks and this would all be moot. The fact that he hasn't is ... interesting. Maybe that's why he wants everyone to get out and vote early?

Same problem exists with McAmnesty. Although born to a US serviceman on a US base in a foreign country, technically he was not also natural born citizen.

Starting to make Barr look really good since my consience will not let me vote for either for the Liberal posing as a Conservative, nor the Socialist (possibly terrorist sleeper) posing as a Liberal. Either would be furthering the cause in the New World Order.

If they allow the most dangerous man on the planet get into the White House, shame on them. They need to put country first. We need to beat this guy. If a third party is in the future then they need to get off their duffs in time to mount a campaign early enough to have a chance at winning. I might support one of them in the future.

Right now, there is only one option we have to beat obamanation. That is to stand together and vote for McCain. If you have to hold your nose, then do it. Do it for love of country. If you don't realize you will lose your AR if obama wins, you are not watching. He will shape the Supreme Court fot the next 30 years. This election is more than just the next 4 years. Vote for McCain or we will suffer, more than just a bruised conscience.

The thing I care about the most right now is the supreme court. Whoever wins this election will get to pick at least 2, if not 4 judges. All of them who are leaving are liberal. In the end, McCain could pick at least 1 who is a right winger and maybe a couple toward the middle but who lean to the right. With Palin down his neck, I would think he would have at least 1 good guy in the whole bunch he gets to choose. That would cover us for the next 20 years or more.
The only problem is the senate is really heading to the dems, so they get to make the approval. If he picks too extreme right winged judges they will say no.

But if obama gets in, the most liberal judges could easily be in place for the next 20+ years which could easily overturn the heller case in a matter of time.

Those who aren't voting for McCain to be spiteful might as well hand the supreme court to Barack Hussein Obama, his pastor, his left wing elite and Bill Ayers on top of that. Those people ARE his background. You never go away from that kind of mentality even if you say you can or do. Obama was raised and worked as an extremeist. That is what a "political organizer" is. It is a professional extremeist.

I understand not voting for someone if there is a better choice out there, but when it comes down to it, one of these two will win the white house. It will be a sad sad day if it happens to be obama. The founding father with roll in their graves. At least McCain fought for the country, whether you liked the vietnam war or not, he was there doing what he could to fight against communism. Now we fight terrorism, what will be next, soicalism? Well, socialism is a few days away from the whitehouse unless everyone does everything they can to fight against it.

I understand voting for the constituition in its origional value, but what you aren't seeing is obama wants to using that same piece of paper written by the founding fathers and use it as a living document.

that means "change" to be exact. His whole idea is change. He can interpret the constitution for what it means in HIS MIND, for todays world. What is basically boils down to is he doesn't agree with the heller case. if that goes down, what comes next. all of a sudden you have to be part of the military or LEO to own a firearm? (or at least a decent one that isn't a black powder or flintlock)

When I say to spite the republicans because they put up a crappy candidate in your mind, i mean exactly that. I wish it was someone other than McCain, but at least he isn't obama. Whenever I vote i have to look at it in two ways. There is 2 of them that have a chance at winning and only 1 will win. thats the first.
next I have to think about the lesser of 2 evils. I care about my liberties and my country first. Guns are at the top of the list, and right up there is taxes and freedom of speech. The liberals seem to think only they have the freedom of speech. This can be seen by the upcoming obama visit to CSU where they don't allow signs or banners. I am considering taking one up there because that is a direct violation of freedom of speech if they enforce that.
I can easily say that a 3rd party candidate has a lot more of my values and best interests in his campaign, but i have to look at my first issue of voting and who actually has a chance.

In the end, no body cares or remembers about the 3rd party candidate and more often than not it is the reason the republicans end up losing because of a small percent. another reason i call it spiteful to vote for a 3rd party.

Why is it so difficult to understand that Obama+Pelosi+Reid is worse than McCain+Pelosi+Reid?

How did we end up with a majority of Dems in both the House and Senate? Somebody else must have wanted it that way. I do what I can and work to put conservatives in office for my districts and state. The Dems stick together even if they don't completely agree with their candidates. They understand incrementalism. You seem to be calling for revolutionary change in a system that promotes evolutionary change.

You are an individual in a single state. You have a single vote. You cannot change the world to fit what you think it should look like or want it be, neither can I. I think we would agree on many points, we just disagree on a realistic way to come to the desired result. Voting for a 3rd party just has us buying into the left's divide and conquer strategy.

We all understand that you're not happy. So, does this venting make you feel any better, because it sure as hell isn't accomplishing anything.

I know how the election of judges works. What is not being looked as is the senate. they will have the final authority in picking the justices FOR LIFE...

democrats are destined to full own the senate by a far more majority than what is required to put a justice in his/her seat.

Obama can basically pick whoever he wants no matter how liberal they are. With the senate backing him plus all the new dem. senators who want to start making names for themselves and prove they are worthy to the Messiah, they will eagerly vote for whoever obama chooses.

If this happens, we will have lifetime justices (so probably for the next 20-30 years). The amount of justices to be picked is still to be determined, but in the end, if obama is elected we will see liberal judges. Then all we can hope for is the next time a judge is going to retire that a republican president will be in office and pick conservative judges.

In the end, it doesn't matter if McCain picks moderate judges or semi-liberal judges. He will at least have the opportunity to pick solid conservatives judges for the supreme court. At least with mccain we will have a chance. obama is a for sure loss, but mccain is at least a potential chance for a win.

Voting for someone other than mccain is a vote ahead for obama. Your vote could cancel out a obama lovers vote. If mccain doesn't get that vote, that is one more that obama will be ahead.

Colorado is a very big swing state unfortunately. after the dems dumping a shit ton of money here for political purposes it is starting to become a realization we are in question as to who will receive the our votes.

Liberty isn't free. sometimes you have to grit your teeth, bite the bullet and do something you are against in order to hope for a good outcome. nothing is certain in life other than death. I hope you see my point.

I enjoyed serving this Country under Reagan and seeing patriotism on the raise during his reign. Since then I watched civil liberties destroyed by the past three administrations. I had hoped GW would slow down stop the police state, but he made Clinton look conservative. Don't get me started on Iraq.
I saw so much promise with the 94 elections. The Contract with America was a great GOP revolution of conservative thought. What happened? They were going to get rid of the Dept of Education, doubled it. Shrink Government, doubled it.
They attack Sarah Palin for going off message. She is the only one espousing Conservative thoughts.

Back to the original post, it is still really odd that when pressed for proof of citizenship, someone would spend lots of time and $ fighting it in court rather than just providing a birth certificate. Mike Rosen addressed this on his show yesterday, and I diddn't listen to the whole show, but i dont' think actual proof was ever provided, the case was just dismissed on merit (even after a judge demanded a birth certificate). makes you go hmmmm.

Obama is losing votes over the uncertainty around this issue, so I have to assume that he's not resolving the issue because whatever is on that certificate is NOT going to help him. (My money is on a birth name along the lines of Barry Soetero (sp?), which raises the issue that at some point he deliberately chose a Muslim name, but he says he's not a Muslim, so why would he do that . . . etc.)

Reminds me a lot of Kerry and his military records not being released, actually. For all his protestations, his actions in protecting those records pointed to something very different.

Now, that's all a theoretical scenario, but it has about a 4% chance of coming true exactly as above.

Pretty much, this election has a decent chance of really contributing to tearing the country apart. Scary thing is, there are those naive enough to want that - even on this site.

I've caught myself saying I can't wait till after tuesday for all this to be over, then thinking:

No matter who wins, people are going to be up in arms.

If McCain wins, the left will pull out the 8 year old "rigged voting machines" argument etc.

If Obama wins, the right will point at ACORN as screwing things up, etc.

I wish it would be over Tuesday night, but it won't be, no matter what. (at least the political advertising will be over, I hope)
