My understanding this is taking place in some open space down in Roxborough Village just behind some houses.

Enjoy

Heck, that could be one of mine from up here. The cats have a 25 mile hunting range. I have 4 now that run my hills up here that I know of.

Certainly makes me think twice walking with the kids. It was about a 1/2 mile from my kids day care where they play outback. The house is right up against the same strip of open space.

I'd take you up on that.

All I have to do is "act big" and the lion will be afraid of me.

Right?

That's way cool. We rarely see them on our property...we frequently see signs of them. Cats and bears don't bother me. They're always around.

And when it attacks you just tell it that you're on your period then piss and crap yourself.

I can guarantee the pissing and crapping part.

Probably not a problem once the claws are in you and it's biting at your jugular.

Why is it putting dirt on the deer carcass? To try and cover it up for eating later? [Dunno]

Very awesome. My dad has a home video of a big cat around that area from the early 90's late 80's. Maybe one day I'll dig it up and convert it from vhs.

That's awesome! I would love to see one! Have found their tracks before around Littleton while hiking.. But have yet to see one! I of course would like to see him first and be packing just incase but would love to shoot one with my camera while hiking! Always take that with me on hikes! It's amazing what you can find and see when you get off the trail!

That, was insane! Stealing part of a lion's kill, then walking away with a raw, bloody hindquarter over your shoulder with 15 pissed-off lions behind you? Crazy bastards with big, clanking iron balls, but crazy. Either that or really desperate.

Just because they're desperate doesn't mean they aren't adrenaline junkies.

We had some sighting of cats in our neighborhood, a community of about 500 homes, green belts, etc.

The DOW came out and posted some 'if you encounter a cat' signs...look bigger, back away, etc.

Shortly later they removed the signs. Seems the real estate people had enough clout to get the signs removed...made $elling homes more difficult if the prospective buyers are envisioning 'Muffy' being parted out under the swing set in front of the kids.
