Haven't seen one of those particular ones yet, but I knew people in the Army that used the cheaper made Coleman ones to augment the old style military sleeping bags in Alaska and Drum. I keep a couple of the cheapos in my truck emergency kit.

Likewise, only in the tool box. we have trucks. Those, some light sticks, few food bars, change of socks and gloves.

Used to use the casualty blankets with the sleeping bags. The old ones were double layer green and silver and worked very well. All that is is double layer Mylar with self-inflating bubble wrap. Now for people that backpack and for a BOB it would be a good thing.

We keep a space blanket along with wool blankets in the cars. The truck has two of the old military space blankets along with a wool blanket and a cheap sleeping bag. The combo staying in the truck would be unbeatable for staying warm. [Flower]

At 29 pounds it is not cheap but an idea for the car/truck.

One item missing, during inclement weather, a Full tank of gas. With a 2-3-5 gal can in reserve.
